With Senn playing so well, is LB still a draft must?

Agreed. A 2nd round LB will be good depth at the least.

Honestly earlier in the season i was vouching for a draft pick other than LB. I thought we were solid there... but now taking a LB in the first doesnt sound like such a bad idea. We could potentially get another Beason...

I'd rather have a DB, and DT but is that really ethical because we just got two third rounders. We have more to work with at LB than DB IMO. But we still have our second rounder so should be good unless Hunrey does something stupid with it.

I think what happens with Dan Conner and Thomas Williams will have a lot to do with if they draft LB. If Conner and Williams return along with Beason, Anderson, Senn then I think you only draft a LB if it's BPA. And Davis could still return if he restructures and be a starter/backup. But I do think Senn is worthy of a starting spot next year. Does that mean he's the starter for the forseeable future? Not sure but he's earned his stripes this season.

Id be fine with drafting a lb 1st round beason will take a while to come back from his injury and davis is pretty much guaranteed to be cut, resigned to vet min, and then tear his acl again.

Senn has his limitations, im not sold just yet.

I just want the best player possible. We have our franchise QB why bother reaching on needs? Unless its a runningback, center, or kicker/punter I would be fine with any position being drafted.

We need depth and speed at olb which we are missing somewhat.

There is only one linebacker in this draft worthy of a first round pick, and even then I wouldn't be surprised if he slips into the second round. (Zach Brown) This draft stinks when it comes to linebackers.

i like senn and all but he's tiny and seems like a liability in coverage. definitely has a nose for the ball though. solid backup and STer that i hope sticks around.

Not with the first pick and maybe second. There's got to be a better player at a weaker position for those. Take a guy later on and then let him and all the other guys that have played this year (yes all ten thousand) compete for the starting and backup spots.
