Why so many facts and figures? Because so many of Newton's misguided and short-sighted critics couldn't see the production for the personality after his Heisman season at Auburn. They were blinded by things they could see but didn't believe, like his smile and his exuberance, or things they couldn't see but still believed, like the blatantly false ideas that he wasn't a leader in the locker room or a student in the film room.

That's funny. He must've been doing something during the NFL lockout besides filming Under Armour TV spots.

There are no exact numbers for these questions, but they're fun to consider just the same. Has any professional athlete proven more people wrong in a shorter period of time? Has any football player accomplished more in his final college season and his first NFL season combined?

Short answers: No and no. For the second consecutive year, while stepping up from the highest level of college football to the highest level of football - period - Newton has put together a once-in-a-lifetime season.

Of course, you're free to continue doubting him. All real and actual evidence to the contrary.

I'm not sure if you were aiming to be positive and correct the article or be a troll. A lifetime is much, much longer than a generation.
Can a lifetime be argued as being exclusive to one person while a generation includes everyone? Or am I misinterpreting. If I am then I recant.

Once in a lifetime? Try once in a generation...

To be technical it depends on how you look at it... if Once in a lifetime refers to It being the best season of ONLY Cam's life then generation is better, because it's saying that NO ONE else is having that type of impact......if any of that makes sense LMAO

"once in a lifetime" things usually refer to only happening once in a person's life, but there are occasions where people throw them out to refer to how in their lifetime, there will only be one person like a particular person.

I do think it is kinda funny people are arguing over if it's better for Cam to be once in a generation or once in a lifetime.

A lifetime and a generation are not exclusive to just being individual or all inclusive references. A once in a lifetime talent is much rarer than a once in a generation talent.

i'd like to see if you guys can keep this argument going for another 200 posts.

consider the gauntlet thrown.
