Suck 4 Drummond

I don't believe in sucking for any player or purpose intentionally.

For a small market NBA team, the draft is the only way to improve your franchise. No big time free agent will come to Charlotte. The only small market teams that have done good are Sam Antonio by getting Robinson and then Duncan and Oklahoma City with Durant and Westbrook. Getting role players is easy...stars not so much. The only chance for Charlotte to be successful is to hit a homerun in a couple of drafts.

If Drummond is not the next Dwight Howard, then he's not worth it. They should go with Harrison Barnes, who's the most likely to become the next "6'8" wing star (ala Kobe & LeBron).

I'm a UNC fan, but I gotta say, nothing in this guy shows me he will be a scorer at the level of Kobe or Lebron.

I just get the feeling Drummond will be another Kwame Brown.

i agree, not because of drummonds ability but he appears to lack the heart and desire to be great. (never questioned that in kwame,, just never had the true talent expected of him)

Alas, seems like Drummond isn't coming out it may just be Davis or Barnes. We won't know which guy is better for us until March.

I liked what I saw from Barnes yesterday so he's getting higher on my list. If Barnes does good come March Madness and shows that he can put a team on his back and carry them he could be the first pick because he's a scorer.

If he doesn't show us that, then we gotta go Davis.

    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
    • The Jets and Bill's are statistically worse
