I would continue to build around Newton.. Defensively speaking, you guys had plenty injuries. LaFell, Gettis, Nanee won't cut it.

As for Burfict.. He's a Top 5 talent..whether or not he goes there is really up for debate. I would take him...

#6 offense in the nfl #30 defense and you have us picking a receiver, (one who isn't a top 10 prospect at that)

As for Burfict he won't go there.

you're thinking too far down the road and you'd be making the team incredibly lopsided. the team has no problem putting up points. it's stopping other teams that is the problem. they can take care of WR later. focus on more immediate needs that will help the team get wins. adding a WR isn't going to do that.

you're thinking along the same lines that the falcons did. the falcons won't go far because they lack key elements and the gave them up so that matt ryan could have more weapons. he has them and they are still a one and done playoff team and that's all they will be because they aren't complete.

michael floyd is a bit overrated as well.

I like your insight, can't agree with some of the picks, but everyone has different opinions and the draft is still months away. I agree that even though their stock is slipping right now, I think Burfict and Jeffery will move back up the board. I think #5 overall is a tad bit high for Burfict, but I could legit see him go in the top 15. He just has some character concerns that would keep me from taking him in the top 15.

Loving the fact that you guys aren't programmed to think how ESPN or NFLN thinks... Its about thinking how YOU would improve the team.. right now, I'd take my chances with the guys on defense coming back from injury...adding a few depth guys while adding a young threat on offense

I appreciate your work, Czar, and I usually like your preview videos but I can't say I like this mock at all. And not only for our team. Besides the obvious opinions that have already been voiced (Floyd, Jeffery, Burfict) I don't really like Randle to the Texans (I think they'd pick Wright if he's available before Randle), I think Richardson goes too late (I think the Jets would jump on him if he's there when they pick, not to mention the Bengals with one of their picks). I do like a couple of picks (besides the obvious first few), I like Perry to the Chargers, Upshaw to the Cards, Brown to the Eagles (but I think Kuechley might be available when they pick and they take him). And about the Bears pick, I know they have a new offensive coordinator, but how would that make them look, to trade their 1st round TE for a 3rd round pick, then pick another 1st round TE the next draft.

While I'm not sure that's the direction Carolina will go, Floyd and Wright are ahead of Jeffery as prospects and are ranked as a borderline top 15 guys. (hell, most places have Sanu rated higher then Jeffery. Also some possibility that Jones makes a push into the first round, which would push Jeffery down even further.)

This year's draft is heavy offensively at the top with 2 QB's, 3 WR's, 3 OT's, 1 G and 1 RB rated in the top 15.

    • Bruh there’s like 10 Bryce Young sucks threads if we want to get into how many threads each side has to discuss in. That said, watching the game, Bryce Young looked bad.
    • If we just want to look at the simplest of passes, those thrown five air yards or less, Young completed just 56% of attempts (#29) with a 13% success rate (#29), -0.54 EPA per attempt, and a mere 2.8 yards per attempt (#27). Bryce isn't "fine" at any aspect of NFL QBing.
    • Same thing I was thinking as I was reading it.  It’s a completely one-sided argument, and is in actuality, full of emotion - and that emotion is, “Bryce is good.  I promise.”  Blaming Hunter for not coming down with those two horribly placed throws is downright insulting.  He had to make a superhuman effort to even get his hands on them because they were so poorly placed…  and this PFF coverage completely disregards objectivity for subjectivity in his favor, because on the opposite end of this spectrum, it should be acknowledged that had those balls been better placed, Renfrow has 2 easy TDs.  Instead, this is framed like it’s Renfrow’s poor play is the result he dropped a couple of highly contested, damn near uncatchable thrown balls (even if he was wide open) for lesser yardage than what they would have been if they were thrown better.  This reeks of bias.  I am convinced Tepper or someone in Bryce’s camp is paying for this biased, pro-Bryce campaign from PFF.  PFF were the ones pushing
