I'll always value his rankings, he's regarded throughout the NFL and other scouting circles as one of the best in the business.

Before the draft he was big on Cam, IF, and only if he was willing to do the work. Said if that was the case then he could be great.

I respect Mayock, but he really lost some luster with me after last season. I think he has good insight, but hes far from ...idk what to say that will fit. A lock? idk, whatever it is, he isn't the end all.

If I remember correctly, Mayock had Gabbert in his top 10 big board, and Cam was no where to be found. Outside the top 15.

To me, he hedged his bets, because at the same time, he mocked Cam high. As if to say "I don't think hes this good, but I think hes going here". I didn't like that.

I respect Mayock more than any other scouting guy out there. Sure hes whiffed on a few guys, but hes usually very accurate.

Maybe the Jimmy can still salvage his career, certainly what he came into Fox' last year was not a great environment.

maybe, but in the right system. a vertical down the field offense is not whats in his best interest. i just dont see him translating into anything more than a 3rd stringer.

Mayock is the man.

As JOAT said, he had always said that Cam's ceiling was astronomical "IF" he was willing to put in the work. I suppose that Cam going from school to school would give outsiders something to ponder. Especially at number one pick.
