Two coaching gaffes inside last 2 minutes

First, Belicik should have let the Giants score on the first play after the two minute warning instead of waiting through one full minute and using one time out. Brady would have had the ball with double the time and double the time outs at that point and only been down by 5.

Second, Coughlin should have just had Eli take a knee and ended the game rather than risking giving the ball back up to NE by running the ball at the end.

Fortunately for Coughlin, Beleciks gaffe will be the one to be remembered.

The Pats figured it out with one minute to go and let em score. If they had let them score at 2 minute warning instead, they would have had an extra timeout and a full minute extra and Brady would have probably won the game.

I think with two minutes left Belichick was still hoping they could hold them to a field goal and therefore only have to score a field goal themselves to win. Once the Giants picked up those extra 4 or 5 yards to put them basically on the 3 yardline or so, he figured it was too late to hope for a field goal.
