I love Coples as a UNC fan, but he isn't a speed rush guy on the edge. he is going to be a bull rush guy who is good against the run when he is motivated.

That is why I am not to keen on the Panthers going after him even if he falls for 9. Wouldn't be upset with it either because he has a ton of talent and will be a solid DE at worst. Just not my first choice at this point.

I don't know guys, I haven't been much of a fan of Brockers and didn't consider him a serious candidate until we saw his measurements. After today, I'm not interested in all. I didn't think he was overly impressive in college and I also tend to think LSU DLs are overrated.

I think we should look elsewhere. And anyway, Coples is versatile and Mayock keeps going on about Dontari Poe from Memphis.

And Mayock says Poe's movement is almost unbelievable for his size. That is a guy I will take anyday over an oversized fatty living off his university's pedigree that runs a 5.3.

Also, another big turn off is how I keep hearing "he's raw," "lots of potential," "still learning to play the game." No thanks.

Sorry, I should have added the disclaimer - when an expert says it AND I AGREE WITH IT.

Me and most "experts" didn't agree when it came to Cam. And I was right (tooting horn).

Also, those seem like words of doom when it comes to DLs much more than any other position.

Sapp is in love with Fletcher Cox and I think I'm coming around too. I wonder if he'll be there when we pick in the second.

Fletcher Cox will not make it past the first half of round 1, much less the 2nd round. His game tape flashes explosiveness, he's a fiery competitor, and he's shredding the combine. I think if Rivera wants D-line help in round 1, Cox should be heavily considered for our pick.

Just as an aside, Sapp seems to really be a good evaluator of D-line talent too. If he really is an advocator of this kid then teams should be at least be taking it into account.

You wanna clarify that statement huh?

for what its worth, to me,

He's referring to the fact that Brockers looks the most "manly" of the bunch. He's big and looks every bit the part as far as balance and strength with looong arms to ****** lesser mortals with.

He has a bit of "Shaqitus" where he runs like his feet dont come very high off the ground, giving him kind of a shuffling looking type run. He looks like a bull when he runs. OVERALL, he doesnt look fast but he looks powerful for his size with good balance and nice tank frame with two long battering rams for arms. His lack of coordination when he running could be telling but may not be that important as a DT.

not a fan for him at 9 yet. I wanna see Poe and Still.
