FavoritedFavorite · Close Open Details Two Broncos, LB D.J. Williams and DL Ryan Mcbean, suspended six games each. TE Virgil Green suspended four games. League did not say why.

Well this won't help.

NFL suspended TE Virgil Green four games for violating the league's banned substances policy.

It's believed Green tested positive for a performance enhancer, although that hasn't been confirmed. Teammates WLB D.J. Williams and DT Ryan McBean got longer (six games) bans. Green, a seventh-round pick in the 2011 draft, caught just three passes for 24 yards in 15 games during his rookie season. The athletic Green was expected to have a bigger offensive role in 2012.

so they sign manning and dump The Golden Calf of Bristol at the same time. Thats Win/Win in my book.

The Golden Calf of Bristol and Manning represented by one company. Both make a lot of money for this company. If Manning comes in and dethrones The Golden Calf of Bristol and The Golden Calf of Bristol becomes a back-up this company will lose millions. So Broncos will have to cut or trade The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Haha! Manning is going to hate John Fox.

Run, run, pass, punt

LOL, yep... this is a match made in hell. And I love it. :)

I can't stand Fox for the way he left us in shambles, and I can't stand Denver for a number of reasons, so this is perfect to me.

Fox's offensive philosophy is exactly the opposite of what Manning does. He's all about the run, with a medium to long passing game (10+ yards to get the first). Manning is all about the curl routes and slants to get short yardage and drive the chains on any given down. Unless Fox turns over the whole offense to Manning (which he won't do) this is going to be an oil and water situation.

Add to that the fact that Manning's velocity has been in doubt after his rehab.... lol... yeah... this isn't going to end well for Fox.

At the end of the day, the key players here are going to walk away in disgrace, and the entire Denver fanbase will be seething in hatred. I love it.

actually i wouldn't be surprised if manning is perfectly happy running an offense that has a solid running game and excellent defense behind it. he's already a HoF lock, he knows his best days are behind him... why not run in a system that allows him to play it a little safer?

    • I do believe that Evero gets canned before the end of the season and Capers takes over the D. I think the stage is set for Evero to fall on the sword for a 4-7 win season.  Not saying it would be a set up but I do think if that transpires, the seat under DC might start getting pretty warm, rightly or wrongly. That's my read on Tepper. I am not at all excited nor am I dreading anything. I just have extremely low expectations so I am just waiting to see what this revision of the roster looks like.  I FEEL like we are better on paper than last season's team but I wouldn't be remotely shocked if we were as bad or worse. Again, I do think this is the 2nd worst roster in franchise history overall. What will really make me happy is for some of the big questions to finally be answered(Bryce, Ikey, Horn, etc). I would like to see a real expansion of our core player pool(basically just D. Brown currently). I want to see a couple of hits in free agency and a couple in the draft. If we accomplish those things, I have faith that we are at least moving in the right direction after many, many years doing the opposite.
    • Considering our depth. Certainly kick the tires.
    • I am not so sure about that. I don't know that he is so soley offensively focused as winning focused. But, not really in a productive way. I get the impression he wants to be like Robert Kraft and take credit for "taking a risk on Bill Belichick" and being successful.  His track record indicates that in the NFL and in his business life.
