NO!

Actually, I always tried (through creative accounting) to get my refund to pay for my season tickets. Didn't quite do it this year.

Also, if your getting that much of a refund, you must be OK with the government holding that much of your money, interest free, for a year. Good for you. I'm not comfortable with the government holding anything of mine. Let alone my money.

Got back a whopping $75 from FED.

Owed about $150 to state.

Cost $40 or so to do it online.

So overall paid $115

Effective Fed rate of 16.2%. BS.

Pretty much get screwed because I'm single, no dependents, no mortgage last year and pretty much all of my student loans payments are going to the principle now since I dont owe much anymore (like $15 out of $200 going to interest when it used to be $100 or more every payment)

I do my turbotax thing as the tax forms come in. I was looking at a sweet $10k+ refund until I got a W2 from my summer gig. Paid $922 to feds on $23k. Ouch. Plus that took me over EIC. Double ouch. Would have paid if not for having another kid. Instead I got about $320. Thanks, 53%. I owe you for covering my car insurance for 6 months.

a couple grand. my wife and i are remodeling our home and we were able to deduct a number of the expenses because we installed energy-saving technology. we also deducted the parts of my travel expenses to asia last year that were related to my volunteer work in cambodia.

no rewards for ourselves with it though... the whole thing is going straight to our mortgage

    • Profit sharing among owners. More ‘desirable’ matchups garner more viewership, leads to more revenue generated and more profit for everyone invested. Y’all don’t think there will ever be a Titans vs Panthers SB, do you? lol, yeah right. Tampa vs Jacksonville? Now that’s funny.  Now, do I think there is ‘the man’ who overlords over all of this? Nah, but bias, even among refs, owners and media can, will, does, and always exist when there is $$ involved.  Refs are people too. Probably football fans, and as such, probably have a favorite team and a favorite player ( why would a non-fan ever become a ref). There is no way officiating will be completely impartial when this is the case. Might be an interesting idea (not in a stalker ish way) to see where each ref grew up/lives, then you could see their likely allegiance. What if 2 refs officiated the same game and they both grew up in say SF, Dallas, Philly or New York? Impartial officiating. Nah.     Would you be? Panthers need a FG to advance in the playoffs, it’s third and long with 45 sec left in the game… obvious hold on your Your team’s center? You calling that? Don’t lie, you know you wouldn’t.
    • Player Culture vs Staff Culture What are some pros and what are some cons of this?
    • Somehow never getting the #1 pick since what, 91?  When you have a team as bad as this team for the last 25 years there should have been more chances at number 1 and that's how you know the NBA is a bad product for most teams' fans.
