How Does It End For Pickles?

Recommended Posts

Not hating on Jimmy, he could have had a different outcome with a different set of circumstances (other team, solid starting QB ahead of him, years to mature, etc). But that didn't happen, and he's been exposed for the entire NFL to observe. No team would give up squat for him.

To quote Lou Brown from Major League, he'll be given his outright release.

I feel bad for Jimmy, he fell into a perfect storm of failure, that wasn't entirely his fault in my opinion, and never once did he publicly complain. He has also been very positive and supporting of Cam on game days from what I've seen. No reason to hate him.

I think we could get a late round pick for him, he performed poorly as a rookie on a bad team so it's way too early to write him off. I think it's clear he will never be an elite QB, but there's still a chance he could be a decent QB in the right system.

I know Pete Carroll at one time thought highly of Clausen and the Seahawks have a gaping hole at the position...

I really dont understand all the Jimmy Clausen haters. The guy came in as a rookie to a team that had no heart and led by a coach who didnt want to be here anymore. I think he did his best - thats all you can ask from anyone. Why you feel the need to hate on the guy tells everyone here more about yourselves than you probably want them to know.

Don't know about anybody else, but I bash Clausen because it makes me feel better if I don't close a sale.

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
