What Will The Saints Implosion Do For The Panthers In 2012?

they'll still be competitive. they'll probably finish with a winning record. they're still loaded with talent and i hope we don't overlook them.

I doubt you see this team overlooking them. With Smitty's chip on his shoulder and the bounty on Cam? They'll have plenty to get fired up about.

Only thing I will say is this, Peyton and Brees turned a big steaming pile of poo franchise into a super bowl contender. Benson was ready to move the Saints before Katrina, then Peyton and Brees came to the rescue. I honestly expect a large drop off without one or the other in the future. The right thing for Benson to do would be to fire Peyton, but since the Saints have always been such a classy franchise since most of their fans began following the team in '06, I expect them to keep Peyton and not pay Brees.

I wonder if Brees will sign the tender to show his good faith to Payton. I also find it funny that Brees was one of the few QBs to get phantom calls every game for roughing the passes while his own team was headhunting. Yet he needs to know why Payton is suspended.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
