Weak Pass Rushing Draft?

Everyone wants more Qb pressure, but nobody wants to reach in the draft. Well, choose your poison according to football outsiders controversial "SackSEER 2012." Gilmore/Keuchly/Cox in the 1st and Nick Perry in the 2nd?

On balance, SackSEER believes that 2012 will be a fairly poor year for edge rushers, with only one strong prospect and a slew of likely-to-disappoint high-round picks. Last year, SackSEER 2.0 projected eight edge rushers to hit 20.0 sacks or more, led by Von Miller, who had the seventh highest SackSEER projection of all-time. SackSEER 2.0 only projects four of this year's prospects to reach 20.0 sacks in their first five years in the league -— and they’re not necessarily the four whom you would expect

JPP will probably be the BIGGEST miss of all time in the draft fo rthe Panthers!

I was yelling at the TV right before they picked... and they passed on him!

I threw my remote control (which busted) and had to fix my dry wall... I'll never get over it

No you didnt, that never happened. The panthers did not have a 1st round pick that year. Even if they hadnt traded their pick away, it would have been after JPP was picked. so wtf are you talking about

Part of me thinks you're making this up...

Maybe the fact that he went 15th, with our original pick being 17th, but...we traded that pick and our 1st pick came at #48 with the immortal Jimmy Clausen.

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
