There is probably less than a 5% chance Blackmon would fall to us. Even if that did happen, and you left the choice between Blackmon or Cox I would say take Cox. This is a deep WR draft.

I like Fletcher Cox and who knows he may be in the small exception percentage. But take a second and ask yourself how many Dt's taken in the top 10 have panned out? The draft board told him to expect to be taken in the 2nd round. Everyone likes the idea of getting a Warren Sapp/Suh type to get pressure up the middle. The bad news is they are very few and far between. If this question was asked right at the end of the college season of who was better between Blackmon or Cox it would've been a no brainer for Blackmon. Sometimes this predraft stuff makes us over think the pick and that's dangerous. Blackmon will be a Boldin/Irvin type receiver.

I have heard rumors all along that our FO is in love with Blackmon, and him falling to us would be the only way we didn't go defense in this draft. Of course that's just a lot of hear say from the likes of Sorensen. I mean at that point I guess we just move to the philosophy the Colts used last decade and build up one side of the ball. Don't know if that's the smartest decision, but if O is the pick then looks like we are heading that direction!
