Looks like we'll picking Couples. Hurney will not meet someone family just like that. Congrats to our new DE.

Oh yeah and this. If Kasay could be here 15 years and people still couldn't learn how to spell his name, I don't expect any different with Coples.

I have a suspicion he is typing from an iPhone or iPad because every time I type in coples from my iPhone it autocorrects to couples

You know what I like to hear when people talk about D and O linemen?

High motor.

Gym Rat.

Explosive.

Nasty.

Mean Streak.

Desire to be the Best.

That's what I like to hear. If I hear Rivera say those things, then I am cool with the pick, but so far we have not heard those things about Coples.

What we have heard is:

Big.

Strong.

Looks the Part.

Could be special.

Tremendous Potential.

Until I hear different, that's what I have to believe from the people who actually do this for a living.

on the contrary, the "tar turds" (cute) bash the holy hell out of he guy because most of them have no clue what a football looks like and since he got all the press preseason and the football team was being put through the ringer, they have no other recourse than o blame hi for every loss.

they do the same thing in basketball. poor Harrison Barnes probably got death threats this year.

yes I bash fans of my own fav programs at will and without concern for their feelings. and not just those of the Panther persuasion.

yes, I agree, there are too many dook fags and ABC jackoffs who hate him simply for the fact that he comes from UNC. I discount those groups as rational adults anyway so their garbled, youtube-based comments mean absolutely nothing.

He can play any position on the line and IMHO he's polished enough to make an impact immediately. You will utilize his ability much better if you keep him at the end though. Like peppers, I see the staff rotating him from both end positions. He will feast on right tackles.

So, we get Coples in the 1st. Who you guys wanna see in the 2nd? Please don't say Jenkins, because I don't think I could handle two guys who have had question/motivation concerns.

Trumaine Johnson? Josh Robinson? Or, do you want to see us get a LB? Maybe Bruce Irvin?

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
