Does Hurney/rivera See A 2Nd Round Dt They Like More Than The First Rounders?

Still was rated higher than Cox for 75% of the draft season. I still think he's better, it's just the concerns about the injury history that kept him out of the 1st in my opinion. I'd love to get him in the 2nd. Worthy is the (I won't say Kuechly, but) elite non-pass rushing DT of the draft. By that I mean he's solid, but not splashy. I'd be satisfied with him in the 2nd, but I'll be a little giddy if we take Still because he was my 2nd favorite DT in the draft after Brockers, inconsiderate of his injuries.

Rams are not leaving the 2nd Round without at least two receivers. Zero chance, Hill is there. I think Hurney is going to be tempted by all the available Offensive Lineman.

I want a DT, but hes been saying for months that he likes our DTs...maybe he was being honest.

My bad...just check with Dash Kiper jr he's got his finger on the pulse of 32 teams

Still could be there but I suspect Denver takes one of the DTs

I think you're right, I think Denver will take one of the DTs I want. Worthy seems like more of a Fox type of guy and Still is my preference. Rams already got their DT, but I don't see the Colts, Ravens, Browns, Jags taking Still. Which has him dropping to us. Biggest risk is that the Rams decide to double dip at DT, but I don't see that happening. They have plenty of other needs. They could take a Lamar Miller (only RB left that seems worth a 2nd), a WR, a CB or any number of other routes before getting another DT.

I'm honestly not convinced they're even planning to take a DT, TBH. I think they really want to develop McClain and Fua and feel Ron Edwards will be a big enough upgrade in the short term. Not saying they won't take one if someone drops and is the BPA, but they said all along they want to develop players, not give up on them after one year.

I actually think they feel DE is a bigger need than DT. Wouldn't shock me at all if they bypass Worthy, Still, and Reyes and take Vinny Curry or Andre Branch. Or even Courtney Upshaw if he drops.

It's come to the point where I'm thinking that we're not going to Draft a DT unless we're 100% sure he can make an impact on defense asap

Worthy is the only one I think who could make a real splash in his rookie season with who's left on the Board.

Hill, Worthy, Trumaine Johnson and Vinny Curry is who I think the pick is down to imo.

Jeffery, Jenkins, Still and Branch might also be the pick as well.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
