..by us, per ESPN... RR & Co knew who they wanted.. I dont recall seeing this kind of thing in past years, did I miss it or is it not normal? Anybody know about any of these players? Mostly special teams filler or camp fodder?

3 RBs?????? Oh fffuuuuggggg, now JStew's definitly gettin traded, we got 3 people to cover his production..

You would think one of those RB will make the team. Josh Vaughan is a special teams guy only and certainly upgradeable.

not necessarily. We may see some guy better out there that a team releases after preseason that we decide to go get and lose these guys. I'm excited about that Princeton guy. 5'7 with 4.3 speed. From the youtube videos he definitely seems like that Darren Sproles type. Doesn't mean he will be as good.

All these guys suck, end of discussion.

Some comments like these piss me off. These kids have been given a shot. Their parents are proud of them right now and they are excited to get a chance. Just to write them off and say they suck before they even step foot on the field makes you look ridiculous and demeans each kid. Right now they are Panthers.

Undrafted gems are found every single year. Every. Single. One. Let these guys go out there and give it what they have got. Form your opinions about them later. The competition of the underdogs fighting relentlessly to beat the odds are what makes teams better. Rivera preaches competition. The fans need to embrace it too, no matter how much each player we bring in appears to "suck".

That's great that it pisses you off and good for them that they have been given "a shot." However, this is a business first, and a sport second. If you don't get drafted, you instantly have a slimmer chance of making the roster than the players that were drafted. These "undrafted gems" you speak of don't show up very often and for every "undrafted gem" you can mention, I can mention a first round player that is considered to be one of the best in the game. The fact is most of these undrafted guys if any of them won't even see the third week of the preseason. No need to get offended, they are getting there chance and I'm sure they will make the most of it but don't expect them to go out there and make the team.

If you want to speak on "business", you should know a businessman leaves no stone unturned when looking to make a profit. Not saying they will make the team, but we had 3 of our UFA make it last year and helped this team in some way. It's possible it will happen again.

Also teams look for a chance to sign the cheaper guy to do the same job equally, if not better than the guy making more money that he's competing with. That would be the business aspect.

    • PJ's completion % was 63% when starting games in Carolina.  Which I believe is better than Bryce when starting.  And again, 4-3 as the starter here and the LONE QB Carolina has been able to actually win with in the Tepper era.  If you ask a gambling gunslinger to come into blowouts.....they are going to go down in a blaze of glory.  Which he would do.  Yeah, he isn't good.  And gunslingers are supposed to have rockier stats than checkdown QBs.   So....why does PJ Walker have a better comp % as a starter than Bryce Young.  And for every knock you want to make about PJ, you can find something or a skillset that PJ does better than Bryce.   I didn't say PJ had good field vision.  He doesn't.  Tell me about Bryce after he comes off the first read lol.  Let me repeat, PJ Walker is not a good QB.  He is NFL depth and an in house arm.  Bryce Young doesn't belong in a convo w/ Jake and Cam.  He belongs closer in a convo with the backup caliber QBs Carolina was forced into playing.  Which isn't just PJ Walker.  But Kyle Allen.  Moore.  Guys like that.
    • Oh I see what you meant by memory. I will trust my memory, I have looked a a lot of those ball charts for Bryce and they trend a general pattern. They thing that has changed that I have noticed more recently is the reduction in the bunching of behind or at  the LOS passes over to his right.  Aside from the quantity of throws recently since the running game has become a more dominant factor.
    • Yes but you basically said you are going from a quick skim of those charts without doing the same for Bryce and/or Andy. So you are going memory vs. snapshots. That's not going to be a very comprehensive analysis.
