What If The Panthers Had Been The Team The Nfl Is Coming Down On For Bounties?

I would not think differently of us. All of the teams do this to some extent IMO. The Saints*** are just the first team not mature enough and not familiar enough with success to keep it under wraps.

I don't think they did anything vicious or cruel or intended to maim anyone or end anyone's career. If you do then that is fine but I don't. They did leave themselves exposed to the great and powerful Don of the NFL to make an example of them and to me that is hilarious enough.

Those clowns down there thought they were so above the law they could say whatever and then thumb their nose at the warnings. THAT is what makes them stupid and a joke. Playing the game to put the opponent out of the game is the way it has always been played and the way it should be played.

You don't believe telling players to take out Crabtrees acl is cruel? What exactly would you consider cruel then?

These are the words of an inferior player. Just because someone got the best of you is no reason to go out and end their career. You never go out with the intention of hurting another player, you may want to hit them as hard as you can but you hit them cleanly. You need to go out and train to become better or quit, there is no place in sports for an individual with your mindset.

You guys are joking if you don't think something of this nature is going on in every single locker room across America from pop warner to the NFL.

The league has known forever and everyone in the league knows. The Seau's of the world are the only reason they punished the Saints*. They want to put the blame for their lack of concern for player safety back on the players. They want to argue the players did this to themselves by trying to hurt each other.

Stand on your high horse, but this is what is happening. You can ignore it if you want, but it is currently happening on the Panthers, just more discrete now.

No, it's not. The NFL blasted the Saints** because they were stupid enough to codify their bounty program. The "bounty" aspect of it is about as widespread as there are stupid, lazy football players. It's only a part of the game for those that feel the need to cheat, and while that won't ever go away it's not prevalent by any stretch, because the vast majority of good players know they don't need to stoop so low to succeed.

Bounty isn't cheating...big hits and trying to injure players isn't cheating. Why do you think they give helmet stickers to little kids for huge hits, crackback blocks, decleaters, etc.

Football is a violent physical game that I'm trying to win and I'm going to do that by inflicting as much punishment on you as possible, specifically the QB.

I promise you that if Beason has a chance to blow someone up over the middle or lay such a big hit on the QB that it will get him knocked out of the game, he will be applauded come Monday morning during films. Whether he gets paid for it, I won't say.

Can you read, you knuckle-dragging moron? The only reason it's a big deal is because THEY WROTE THEIR SCHEME DOWN ON PAPER. We're not stupid enough to do that; as for big hits and stickers, players know what they know, and don't think the "headhunters" don't get a taste of their own medicine. I'm sure Beason would crush any QB he could, but would he try to snap their leg in half? Hell no.

Crushing a QB and snapping his leg is no different. You're trying to inflict as much pain as possible to hinder his ability to play the game at a high level and help your team win, bottom line. Winning equals money, that's all players care about.

Football used to be a game where you made receivers scared to go over the middle, now if you hit them you will be suspended a year for bounties.

100 years from now no one will recognize this game we call football and the players will be remembered as modern day gladiators.
