Bucs Kellen Winslow Likely To Be Cut/traded

Incredibly shocked to see the amount of support this loser is getting here. He's not worth upsetting the good things we have going on the offensive side of the ball. When a team as bereft of offense as the Bucs are cutting him loose for being a general distraction and asshole, it's time to look elsewhere no matter what the talent says. Shockey's career humbled him eventually, and the same will happen to Winslow, but he's not there yet.

I'd agree with you if he wouldn't be coming to play in a Chudzinski offense (the guy who he campaigned for the Bucs to hire as their new head coach)....throw in the Cam factor, the other Miami connections of Olsen, Beason, etc, and I think he'd fall in line.

I thought the same thing about Shockey.

the only knocks on Shock were attitude and health. Legit reasons to be moved. I don't know why KW keeps moving. He just always is. Not saying it would be terrible but I have always been curious about why he seems to underachieve with so much talent. I don't think Shock, while healthy, ever underachieved.

Did I miss something or did we not just sign shockey last year who was an asshole and a distraction. Also to call Shockey humble is like calling a badger nice.

Well I didn't exactly call him humble, I just said that his career and being discarded a few times had humbled him as in made an egomaniac into merely a strong presence. More like taken his edge off a bit in regards to how much he thinks he deserves to touch the ball and what exactly his production entitles him to do. Winslow doesn't seem to have gotten that at this point in my opinion. I wouldn't want ANYTHING to turn the tide of this rebuild and put the positive vibes in the room in jeopardy at a position where we already have adequate depth and production potential.

Some of Winslow's issues health related. He's had knee issues ever since he came into the league, that has caused him to miss a lot of practice (but not a lot of games). As far as underachievement, I guess that depends on what your definition is - his average number of catches and yards per game are both higher than Shockey's for his career, TD averages and YPC are similar. He's also never had Eli, Brees, or Cam as his QB.

I would think that Chud has coached him at the college and pro level. If he thinks he fits in I would support getting him. After all he is the one who has to work with him and meld him into the offense. If we don't, this could be leverage to get Shockey to sign for cheap before he loses the opportunity.

Everyone is on the Winslow train. Yet you mention Braylon Edwards and no one wants him. I dont get that..

I'd take Braylon if he's healthy, but I see receiver as less of a concern than TE, especially if Shockey is not back with us.

people are being serious when they say they want winslow? That's hilarious.

I agree. I opened up this thread knowing somebody would be clambering for ua to get him.

I didn't expect the majority would be worshipping him.

The connection with him and chud is there.

I don't tjimk the bucs would want to trade him.within the divison. I also would want the guy to be a Panther unless he came cheap.
