So I made a thread in response to Pricso's evaluation of our 2006 Draft.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/11696266

He went through every team and originally gave us a "D" grade and put this for his analysis:

First-round pick DeAngelo Williams had his breakout season in 2008, or else this draft would have been considered a bad one. Now that he's proven to be what the Panthers expected, the draft isn't a disaster. Second-round pick Richard Marshall has been a solid corner, but the team's last six picks are no longer on the roster, including two third-round picks. Ouch.

Well I created this thread http://www.cbssports.com/mcc/messages/chrono/14784626 and about two hours later his grade of our draft changes to B- and he puts this as his analysis:

First-round pick DeAngelo Williams had his breakout season in 2008 and second-round pick Richard Marshall has been a solid corner. Tight end Jeff King, the fifth-round pick, is listed as the starting tight end, so that's good value, and third-round pick James Anderson and fifth-rounder Nate Salley are backups.

 i love it!

it just goes to show, though, that the talking heads just don't know much about the panthers which is fine with me. the more they talk about the panthers the more i find out they talk out their butts about everyone else.

i don't understand 1) how these clowns have their jobs and 2) why people listen to them.

That is great. Prisco is quite often wrong, but for him to go back and change his grade and evaluation based on your thread is awesome.

I've seen him go back and change incorrect information in the past but generally only for the bigger or favorite teams, the fact that he went back and changed something about the Panthers was pretty nice. Even though I still think B- is a bit low of a grade I can't complain too much considering his usual negative stance on the Panthers.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
