Way-Too-Early 2009 Standings Predictions

Recommended Posts

I think our added D will give the Saints fits.

Think our first match up with them last year.

Yessir.

I've only been to two Panthers games. The first was the second game against the Saints in the 2007 season, in which the "We Want Moore" chants reached fever pitch as the rain came down and the Panthers got trounced.

The second one was the first game of last year. It was a much better time. :D

I guess if I have to be unbiased:

1. Atlanta (10-6)

2. Saints (10-6)

3. Panthers (7-9)

4. Bucs (5-11)

seriously?

how do you think we pull that off and how do you see us faring against the NFCE and AFCE?

I actually think it's the saints turn at a division crown this year....sooner or later they have to be able to put it together...right???

1. Saints (9-7) *Tiebreaker over panthers with conf. wins.

2. Panthers (9-7)

3. Falcons (8-8)

4. Bucs (6-10)

no wildcard from the south this year

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
