Practices notes

Clausen did not look good today. He was throwing to scrubs but his Arm didn't look strong and he made bad decisions.

Taking up a spot when we could be grooming a real backup...

He won't show anything to gain trade value in an offense built around the deep ball.

norman had one good pass breakup against smitty in the endzone today. i watched smith burn him a couple plays too. this norman thing is getting overblown.

it's combining with things we are hearing from smitty himself as well as coaches and others who have watched on other days.

imo, there's more than enough for us to feel good about what he's capable of at the moment and to feel good about his potential.

i honestly can't remember the last time someone in the secondary was talked about like this.

of all the corners out there, he played the best today, for sure. munnerlyn holding one of our wrs jersey in the endzone was ridiculous. stanford had a blatant PI call too. but he did get a pick against clausen(who by the way was awful today).

one of the coolest things norman did today was sneak up behind deangelo and knock the ball out of his arms then toss it to the fans.

Add it to the practice notes: Williams has fumbling issues.

Reed said that Smitty looked extremely fast out there today.....so that shoots holes in your entire arguement and post.

Saw this and lol'd at the sheer spunk. Thanks it was just bullshit fan homerism and not so much an "argument", but thanks forr fuggin keepin it real. Keep them guns a blazin, just turn em away from me.

Whatever that other guy said im sure is right.

Did not mean it as a shot at you. Just did not know if you had heard what Reed was saying.

You were there in person, so I do appreciate and trust your observations as well.

Even if he was not going 100%, Smitty had always been competitive in practice. I would think that Norman is a baller if he got the better of Smitty at all.

I am just a little excited to potentially have a legit #2 CB opposite Gamble.

    • He’s also 21 years old. I don’t know why fiz is so eager to label him a bust
    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
