Is There Honestly A Better City To Win The Superbowl In Than New Orleans?

If we were to go all the way this season (knock on wood), how awesome would it be to win it all in the stadium of our most hated rival?

After all of the dilemmas going on in New Orleans this offseason, and the hatred that has been brewing between these teams even more since we got Cam, I can't think of anything better than hoisting the Lombardi on TV on their home turf.

Delusional offseason thread? Yes. But I'm all in this year and I know our boys are too. I don't wanna get my hopes up like a I have before but this could be the best opportunity we ever have, especially due to where the game will be played.

Yes, Charlotte.

Unfortunately I don't think the bowl will ever come to Charlotte.

But this year, there is a legitimate chance to do the dance on our most hated teams turf after all they went through the past season.

I don't think Charlotte fits the hotel quota required to host a superbowl.

For me Atlanta in the GA Dome:

1. Its 20 minutes from my house

2. The Falcons haven't won one yet so it's would hurt them even more.

3. It's indoor which I like. (Warm weather is best of course)

4. It would cause all the old Michael Vick fans who hate "Matty Ice" to go into full hate mode. Couple that with the people who hate Michael Vick and the fans that like him it would cause a "civil war" in Atlanta's fan base. It's brewing right now already.

5. It would convert many more bandwagon Falcon fans into Cam Newton fans, thus eliminating any home field advantage they have when half the stadium is cheering for Cam.

I hope the team is playing in the SB in a few years when the 49ers new stadium is done so I can watch them win the Super Bowl and only be out of pocket the ticket money. You guys can all bunk at my house, except TCF who I'm pretty sure is a serial murderer.

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
