SI.com has learned that Fox Sports is aggressively pursuing ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews for a role at its network. The network's executives recently met with Andrews regarding a major role in Fox's college football coverage.

Shortly after SI.com reported the news that Fox was pursuing Andrews, ESPN released a statement that said Andrews had left the network. "Erin Andrews is leaving ESPN," an ESPN spokesperson said. "She did great work for us and we made an aggressive offer to keep her. We wish her the best on her next chapter."

Contacted by SI.com, a Fox Sports spokesperson declined comment.

Andrews' contract with ESPN concluded at the end of June. Her last on-air assignment for ESPN came in mid-March with its ACC college basketball tournament.

Being reported that ESPN offered her a lot more money, but the same job. She wants to do more, so she's moving on.

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
