I guess because there really isnt a shelf life for coaches they find it easier to accept the punishment, players on the other hand will have a hard time especially veterans like Vilma of coming back from a lengthy suspension.

Oh well, fug em

I don't see how this information undermines the case against Vilma. Just because he is disgruntled doesn't mean what he said wasn't true. Plus if this was all they had then it might be a problem but it wasn't. There are thousands of pages of documents. A disgruntled employee may have got the ball rolling but it was surely not the only person who discussed the issues. Vilma is just throwing things against the wall hoping something sticks.

So in a murder case for instance, if someone tips the police to who the murderer is, the cops go bring him in. The guy admits to it, but then later he starts whining that the person who turned him in happens to be his angry ex-girlfriend, and thus the case isn't valid?

Sounds legit.

No, not by any stretch. With the short attention span of this country coupled with our flair for revisionist history all it would take to sway public opinion and force the hand of the league is a few well timed articles and just enough doubt enducing debate and these assholes get off Scott free.

OJ anyone?

    • Not sure he is in the top ten but: His 9.99 RAS score, second among 1,512 tackles since 1987, isn't a gimmick. You see every bit of that explosiveness translate to the field when he kicks and slides in pass sets. NFLDraftBuzz
    • Ya win some, ya lose some. Legette looks to be a loss.  The time for disappointment has passed. I expect nothing, so if I get something I will be surprised.
    • I got called into HR one time, as they were doing their research after a verbal altercation that I had with another employee. He was the one that started the sh¡t and had the nerve to go to HR. Well, I did the meeting, & the manager gave me her card & said if there was anything else I wanted to say regarding the investigation, to contact her. I thought about it later that day, so I used our company email and told her that I was willing to take a lie detector test, and that if he and his two friends were willing to do the same, once it was determined that they were lying and that I was telling the truth, then they would have to be punished accordingly. Funny thing is, after that, I never heard from her again, or anything about the investigation. It's like it never happened.  Anyway, yeah 89 isn't doing himself any favors with this one. He wants to fight with a guy old enough to be his dad because of Rivera's lack of communication, even if there was some perceived hypocrisy going on. That's just not a good look.
