I thought Person along with BleacherReport are on the "do not quote list"...

Only when it is stupid, or negative. Otherwise, it is all good.

The homer in me believes we can via for the crown. Like has been stated, a few breaks last year and we are 8-8, or 9-7. Not unreasonable to believe this team is not good for a 2-3 game jump? Why the ... not?

Let's be real here. ST has been upgraded from bad to potentially very good. The D should improve from just having a full off-season to learn the ins and outs of the system. That, and another year of experience, makes me giddy for the possibilities. And we all know what the O is capable of. Two out of three, ain't bad. And with a decent D, it could be two and a half out of three ain't bad.

Sure we play a tough schedule, on paper. But there are a precious few very good Ds on the slate. If we can start out the first five games at 3-2, 4-1, or Zod forbid 5-0 we would be putting the league on notice. We arrived sooner, rather than later. The sooner we learn to win. The easier it will become to beat teams we are supposed to beat, and win some we maybe should'nt have.

Ok, that's enough. And GOOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finishing third would be taking a step back, in my opinion. Third place should be good for six or seven wins, now if we were able to get to eight wins and still only manage third place; I could live with that.

However, anything less would be a failure and a regression.

I know when you suggest we can win more than 10 wins you will be called a homer, and that is the best you can hope for. But personally, I see a very real shot at 11 or even 12. We can beat anyone at anytime, and if we can start the season off with a bang, we may be looking at sustainable growth.

By the end of the year no one, and I absolutely do mean no one, will want to play us in the playoffs.

The NFC North and East will beat each other up. If we can win the Division with 11 or so wins. We may get some home game(s).

But it is imperative that we start out of the gate fast. Shock and Awe baby. Bob and Weave. Attack and CounterAttack. Just go completely Cam on everyone's azz. Petal to the Metal from the get go. Basically, everything I want to do to the wife, but am scared to death to even think about.

One of the things we haven't really talked about is just the familiarity with our defensive personnel. This time last year we had multiple guys as UFA. McDermott and Rivera hadn't worked with the guys on our defense. Now they have had an entire off season to know who will be on the roster and what each guy is like. It could make a big difference.

Don't really think the gap between us and the Saints*/Falcons is that great. We may end up finishing third, but it won't be because we were significantly worse than those two teams.

Beason and Ron Edward's health are huge to this team. Also someone needs to step up in the secondary besides Chris Gamble.

This what I have been trying to say. Last year no one was sure what to do, even the vets. Rivera and Co. have had a whole off-season to get the guys up to speed. That has to be one of the most important aspects of this coming year.
