Let Medlock kick the entire preseason. Mare is a veteran, so it won't matter as much for him. If Medlock holds his own then we cut Mare. Give the young guy a shot. Worse case scenario is Medlock chokes in a game and we replace him in season. That's how I would handle it personally.

Please let the new kid take kicking duties. I've never been a Mare fan, and if someone comes in and can get the job done, we should have that guy on the 53, regardless of salary concerns.

I get what you're saying... But hear me out...

I do NOT want Mare... TC won't change that at all. I've seen what he can do in a Panthers uniform and hope he never kicks for us again. With that said, I think he stays. If he were going to get cut, they would have done it b4 his roster bonus hit

There are a lot of interesting battles going on within the Panthers camp this season and the Kicker is one of the most important. I hope Medlock is better than Mare. The only problem is how much money we're paying Mare.

If we dump Mare we will have at least a 3 million dollar hit just from the signing bonus that accelerates to this year if we cut him unless we spread it out over 2 years.
