Not sure why we are even playing this game. The Jets are just THAT good on defense. I think they arre going to bitchslap Cam's swag. Wish we could cancel the game like UFC 151.

Point was simply no one has done diddly to the Jets D in the preseason and they are good. We w

I'm more than positive our Offense will score at the lease 17 points in 3 qtrs. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if we put up 24 before the half.

Gone are the days of our Offense being all about 89 fellas.

I'm sure we'll be just fine. I do expect to see Murphy as the 2nd WR, instead of Tutu, since he's more capable of stretching the field.

Murphy has some experience at Smitty's spot. When Smitty gets a day, or play, off, Murphy is always Johnny on the spot. Lafell stays at 2, Pilares stays Pilares, and Tutu stays Tutu. Throw in Olsen and Barny, with the RBs, and we have plenty of weapons for Cam to throw at. Or not, if you are a worry wart.

Some of you folks go way overboard at any precieved slight. Oh no, Smitty is out, our passing game will blow. For the last 6 months folks have been giddy for our Offense. All of a sudden the worry warts come out. Laughable, I tell ya what.

I guess we practice other things than running routes and catching the ball. Cuz folks around here seem to think we are deficient in this area all because of Smitty being out, and playing the fuging Jets. The Jets? We are afraid of the Jets? How are we supposed to via for a Playoff position if you folks are afraid of the Jets?

Fuging gimps!

This is a great test for our young WR corps. It offers the opportunity to flash. Gives Rivera film. And gives us fans an opportunity to enjoy the ones for more than a quarter. To predict the sky is falling 3 days before the actual game. Is well... laughable.

You're all awfully pessimistic. Cam won't throw for 3 TDs but I think you all will be pleasantly surprised with how well the team does.

I like your moxy kid. But why limit yourself? Cam very well could throw for 3 TDs. A 30 yarder to Lafell. A 16 yard screen to DWill. And 1 yarder to Barny.

The Jets D does not faze me. Of course I am not playing so it is a lot easier for me to say. We are built to compete with the big boys. This is an almost big boy test. The Jets are not a good team. They can be competitive, for short periods. But the need more than a few spurts to keep us down.

I know it is preseason. I could care less if we win or lose. I like seeing solid play all around, with fewer mistakes. I like giving Rivera plenty of tape. But lastly, I lke seeing the Jests get their cumuppance.

Spank the Jets, in NY, on national TV. Yeah, I wish I could watch it. The first Sunday I have worked in years is this Sunday. Thank Zod for divo.

The Jets are a good team.....that is why this board will have a mini breakdown following the game. Some have convinced themelves we are a juggernaut even without Smitty and the Jets suck.

NYJ have gone 9-7, 11-5, 8-8 under Ryan WITH a pooty offense.

They had a top 5 D last year....and thus far in the preseaon that D looks just as good. yeah, they don't run as good as they did.....but we also don't have a top tier D.

should be a good battle....not a beat down.

Well for what it's worth it's better that they've been practicing all week with Smitty out rather than game planning with him in and then he gets hurt on the first possession. I don't expect huge things against a great D without our best weapon, but Chud is the mad scientist for a reason and they've had some decent practice time to formulate a 'non-Smitty' version of our offense.

    • It is like when you go to da buffet at da Golden Corral and dey have all dis food and you get the same thing every time.   There is probably something you would like more, but you go to da same ol racks and get da same ol food every time.  Not sure why I am writing in trailer park dialect, but hey, watcha gonna dooo.
    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
    • And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
