How much time will Joe Adams see on offense?

Donald LaFell

not much. i'd think that pilares, murphy, tolbert, and barnidge all get more play time before he does (as far as non-starters go). maybe armanti as well. he'll prob only come in as a decoy, end around option, or a tailback (like percy harvin does sometimes).

not much. there just won't be enough targets to go around after smitty, olsen, lafell, tolbert, murphy, stewart, and williams. i suspect that only 3-4 passes a game go to people outside of that group of 7 and even then i would guess that barney would be next in the pecking order.

it's going to be a while before he'll get enough of an opportunity to do much more than return punts...unless he really lights it up consistently when he gets the ball and he does a good job of getting open and noticed by cammy cam when he's on the field and can show himself to be reliable and/or a legit threat.

Very little. Doubt Pilares or AE get many offensive snaps either.

i'd actually be surprised if AE even got a jersey most weeks...or any 6th or 7th WR. i see us only going with 5 active WRs in any week. pilares and adams get one just because they are returners.

If preseason is any indication of depth order ( I don't know how the coaching staff determines things) then Adams will be a returner and that's pretty much it seeing how he wasn't even targeted. So it's possible AE will dress.

it just depends on how many spots they want to go to WR as opposed to some other positions. i think they are more limited personnel-wise in regular season.

True, last year they had 6 dressed with AE and Pilares returning. This year tutu is gone and Pilares and Adams are returning. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how they order the chart.

I hope he gets a legit shot at playing on offense. I'm sick of drafting return specialists and making them focus only on returns, considering that that facet of our game has been completely worthless since like 2004 and is probably going to continue being a whole lot of nothing. With the past return men that we've drafted, it seems like we solely drafted them for their potential as return specialists. With Adams though, I think during his college career he showed that he is very capable of being a legit WR. I know its only Adams' first season in the league, but I feel like we're wasting his time here if we only plan to use him as a return man. It's a sad career for return men down here in Carolina. I would hate to see another receiver being given an unfair chance of finding a place on this team.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
