At least six times yesterday the ball was hiked when Cam was not expecting it. He almost dropped it a few of the times. Not sure you could see it on TV or not, but that's the first time I have seen that happen. And it was not when the crowd was really loud either.

Anyone else notice?

I think we can officially describe the entire team's play yesterday as: rusty. Whether this was from the strange week we had, the rain, or, quite frankly, the initial punch in the mouth the Bucs delivered it is hard to tell.

I very much hope we are a lot crisper next week, as the Saints* had a tumultuous first game performance as well.

The one that hurt the most was when we were inside the 5 yard line. It was the play where Cam tried a back shoulder throw to Louis Murphy. I can't help but think that untimely snap really fuged with the rythem of the throw and route.

This is exactly the play I noticed it on as well. Looks like he wasn't expecting to get the ball when he did.

      I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.

      Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
