The whole offense was out of sync. On a positive note, Our DEF held only one team under 17 points last year and that was the Jags and Blaine Clausen, I mean Blaine Gabbert.

Yeah the 1st half the or mainly the 1st QTR they moved the ball pretty good, but the DEF tightened up and only allowed 3 points in the second half. I was really impressed with that.

Yeah, I was impressed too. I though after the few couple of serious we were going to get trounced and have to watch Freeman run up and down the field all day making us look like we should have stayed home. But the Defense got it together.. It was great to see Thomas Davis out there. He looked great. And Edwards was a nice find.

now someone needs to light a fire under under those guys that are supposed to be blocking for Cam and making holes for the running backs.. I mean are you kidding me? 13 yards? By the time the running backs got their hands on the ball, there was practically the whole Tampa Bay defense waiting for him in the backfield.

Totally..and then Rivera blamed the fake punt on ball being snapped too early?? WTF happened yesterday?

What in the hell are you talking about? When did we try a fake punt? The time the punt got block was on Nakamura. He didn't get the protection set right and he totally didn't block the guy coming around the edge that he was supposed to block

I think its because they knew they didn't have a chance. Should have drafted DeCastro at guard. Kuechly was invisible and when you did see him he was getting beat on a pass by that Doug Martin kid or getting knocked to the ground by that fullback.

Oh yeah Decastro would be helping us with that tore up knee that could ruin his career. ugh I hate when people that don't know anything about football try to act like they do. Keuchly was not invisible. He was doing his job by freeing up Beason and the others to make the plays. And hello, it's his first NFL game. He isn't supposed to be all world yet. Kuechly was a great pick. If there was a option B, the only other guy I would have gotten would be Mark Barron.

Did you even think about this before you typed it? Did you really think it came across as the smart reply?

    • It's not impossible to go from worst to first.  We kept Evero because anyone in there right mind knew our defense was destroyed by injuries, not the scheme.  Evero has been given a plethora of talent between free agency and the draft, not to mention getting DB back. I fully expect our defense to be very good.  I have no reason to think Jones would say something like that unless he truly felt like that.
    • We would’ve played Florida and lost in the 1st instead of the 3rd round.  Montreal would have been the 8 seed.
    • I can't get behind a purely subjective re-draft as a method of defining "top-10 QB" status. That invites bias based on vibes/hypotheticals and can ignore actual on-field performance. You and others have said that Bryce has to be a top-10 QB to justify the pick. That's a high bar, which I'm not against, but we need a clear, consistent way to measure it. When I bring up metrics that Bryce has registered in the top-10 in like BTT%, P2S ratio, catchable deep ball rate, etc... they're waved off as either irrelevant or the expected baseline performance. Meanwhile, volume stats like passing yards or win-loss records, both of which depend heavily on roster talent, health, and coaching, are treated as definitive. That's where the inconsistency kicks in. If no performance metric ever counts in his favor and the answer is always going to be "he should be doing that," then we're not evaluating him... we're just holding him to a curve he can't win against. If this is really about performance standards, then let's define them. But if it's just about confirming prior takes based on height and weight, then let's call it what is it and stop pretending that this is a football analysis discussion.
