I wouldn't be opposed.

Kuechly played well last night but it depends on how ready he is to do so.

Beast just isn't healed completely yet and it's apparent. He just doesn't trust it, it looks like.

He missed a LOT of game changing plays last night that he would have had in years passed.

He is a play maker and a leader. If you can't see that....I can't help you.

Tackles isn't a good measure of play by itself ...Godfrey has tackles. That doesn't make him a good tackler. Beason currently isn't a playmaker.....he is a guy consistantly getting beat

It certainly isn't the only measure. He's not his former self right now. He's getting bullied around out there, just watch him.

I have been , from the sidelines every game.

Has he made every tackle? No

Has any linebacker on the Panthers? No

They all are playing like crap right now, but Beason is not the main issue by a long shot. You want to see how terrible our defense can get? Take him out of the game. He is the ONLY leader out there.

Don't agree with the OP though. At least, not until Kuechly plays better

leading tackler on the team is Charles Godfrey.....so according to you Godfrey has been a good.

Godfrey, Beason and Norman are 3 of the top 4 tacklers.....and they have been 3 of the worst if not THE 3 worst players on D through the 3 game season. Heading into the game Godfrey and Beason....we're already graded as the worst performing players by PFF. Love or hate the site, they aren't Panther fans and at least attempt to give you a non homer view.

You don't think the fact you are friendly with Beason could cloud your view?

If Kuechly was playing lights out, I'd sort of understand this.

Beason doesn't look the same so far, but no one else has looked ready to fill in for him, either. Hell, other than situational work from Davis, our LB play has been mostly hot garbage this season.

I wanted Luke bc I didn't think Beason would be Beason. You will take lumps with Luke....standard rookie stuff.

outside of the opening to the Tampa game Luke has been good. Beason looks more lost than our rookie out there....and can't even cash in on easy big plays. I think Luke either makes the tackle or gets that pick. TD and Luke need bigger roles.....ones that play to strengths.

My offseason hunch looks to be right.

      1.) Panthers have been alternating wins and losses. Which means we are gonna win against Tampa twice and make the playoffs. 2.) No new injuries coming out of last night that I am aware of. We are very healthy compared to other teams and if we get Hunt back that would be amazing. 3.) Maybe that loss ticked them off enough to take it seriously and play disciplined. Put in the extra time because you are running out! 4.) We cannot afford to let up through the remainder of the year unless we win the next two and Tampa loses to MIA. I did not like idea of people resting. Just look what happened after the bye. 5.) Even if we do not make it to the dance, the guys are getting playoff experience right now. If we are close but just miss it, they can pack that feeling up and into next season. Maybe we can continue to retain critical pieces at an affordable rate if they want to run it back. 6.) We are set up better as far as salary cap/dead money next year compared to the last several years. Tillis and Morgan will get to play some. 7.)  ATL is unsettled at QB position and will have a new coach. TB may be at end of window. NO honestly seems like biggest problem to me but hopefully the salary cap situation there will continue to hamstring them. 8.) Our rookie class looked really good, should see a lot of production from them in Year 2. Year 3 of Morgan/Tillis should see us be able to fill the remaining holes. Next year is really the year we would be on schedule to do something.
