Regardless of Stew being in the line up or not. This team should have a gameplan involving him or not. If he's not in the game, guess what? Gameplan for this situation and adapt to it. DeAgelo and Tolbert are both good backs. The Running game shouldn't be a problem.

I believe we're trying to be too cute and flashy with this option read. Chud needs to be more creative and trust his backs.

With all the money we have spent on other backs, that is really disturbing if true. But i'm not sure if I buy it- the game he played was against a defense potentially even more pathetic than our own. We really did not look very good against them when you take that into account.

It isn't like NY shut out run games out prior to us....Murray went for 130+. A rookie went for 60 and at least a TD with it.

Stewart makes a D in this offense play different . Offense is what it is.

I was just thinking this same thing and actually logged on today to see if others thought so. I feel the game plan is much different taking Stew into account as opposed to when it is just DWill. Chud should look at that and when Stew is not available, let Tolbert take the role of Stew and stick to what works. DWill is a great back, but sucks at the Option read. Stew and DWill together = Traditional run/pass out of the backfield = production. I truely believe Stew makes a huge difference in play call and the opponents defensive strategy. We'll see next week in ATL, provided Stew is healthy......

    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
