Issue isn't Cam

No need for 76 posts trying to pin blame on a 23 yr old kid still learning the toughest position in all of sports when it is glaring what the problem is.....

Chud, Rivera and Marty.....that is the reason we see such slop.

is it Cams's fault Double Trouble had a combined 23 rushings yards (26 if we add Tolbert)? No

Is it Double Trouble's fault? No.

Is it the OLs fault they are asked to pass protect almost every down for a quirky offense that put the world on Cams's shoulders? No.

Issue is painfully obvious....the coaches and GM are doing 2 different things. The real problem is.....both have painfully flawed plans so it isn't as if getting on the same page would make us great right now.

We don't need to give Rivera more time. Move on after this year. He isn't a HC. Chud is a bad match for Cam. Doesn't gameplan to help a young QB grow and play to his strengths.....he focus' on simply highlighting him every snap which is the recipe for ruining a young QB. I have always endorsed building an offense around #1.....but that doesn't mean he should be the offense. That doesn't work and is lazy and above all.....dumb.

Totally agree, there's too much talent on this offense to perform the way that they do.

Part of the issues has to be on Cam. No need to bring up his age when he did pretty darn well last year, a year younger and less experienced. Is he the only issue? No, but he doesn't get a pass.

He was wildly inaccurate today. He never seems to hit those short dump off passes/screens with any accuracy. Our RBs always have to catch them off balance or not at all. He targeted Smith way too much and didn't hit our leading receiver until late.

I don't think it's physical but more mental for Cam. He has all the tools in the world but his mind doesn't seem to be right. With all of this coming out about him being a sore loser, it makes sense. He might feel like he is responsible for our lousy performances and it's taking a toll. I will say he needs to "grow up" a bit and be able to handle his emotions better. It's great that he hates to lose but he can't let his emotions affect his play.

I have said that Hurney needs to go. He is the root of our problem.

It wasn't like DWill had a man on him already when he fumbled, or that Smith was in traffic when he dropped a pass. Or that Stewart was hit by two people when he fumbled.

Pros are supposed to be pros and those are the plays they are expected to make.

That play is pitch and catch for most teams, we've been burned by the Saints and the Falcons on that very same play plenty of times.

Cam isn't in the same league as Brees an Ryan is that what you are saying?

Or should we call some more college plays and bring in pro QBs for the pro style plays?

lol. no he isn't....yet. Are you fuging slow or do you honestly believe this is an argument? How many years have these guys been in the league?

Brees and Ryan are NFL vets. Brees took years and Ryan is finally becoming an elite QB after 4 years as well. Cam's career is still very young. But we need the right coaches in place to help him along the way. I'm not sure Rivera is the leader Cam needs.

His age and experience simply matter.....Brees and Brady couldn't put a team on their back 21 games into their careers.....

yes, Cam is responsible for his failures. However, if you need 1 yard....and your QB has struggled all game with short throw accuracy ....and you have big long tank in Cam and a highly paid backfield (that has proven they can get that yard on the ground ......it is coaching that decides how they are going to use their players to get a yard.

Just bc a player fails doesn't mean it is all on a player. The coaching flaws and errors are glaring.

Yeah but if Cam is put in a position to succeed, like throwing to an open receiver, not sure how the majority of the blame can be placed on the play call.

I understand what you are saying but Cam should be able to make that pass. It's not too much to ask for.

35 pass attempts/game through the first half of 2011. that's hardly "one read and run" and you, of course, actually know that but you're a troll. one read and run is the offense armanti edwards ran in college by the way.

your gimmick was never funny or interesting. get a new one. maybe start calling for us to bench stewart and start armond smith.

]One read and run college option QB is all I'm seeing from him!

This year 2012!! Yeah Armanti can run it better and he don't throw lame duck passes to open guys in the end zone!

I think the issue is Cam:

  • Terrible against the Saints in Week 17... we can't even close out the season on a good note.
  • Terrible in the Pro Bowl... yes, the PRO BOWL. And we were all like "who cares, it's just the Pro Bowl..."
  • Terrible in the preseason, especially against the Jets. And of course the excuse was "oh, it's just the preseason, who cares..."
  • Terrible against Tampa Bay. Maybe Tampa has a good defense. I'm not sure. No excuse for this.
  • We pound the Saints, but turns out all they have the worst defense in the league, so not as impressive as we all thought.
  • Cam no shows against the Giants. Disgusting loss against a team that could absolutely be exploited. I'm still disgusted.
  • Then we take it to the Falcons. The game gives me hope. I almost think we have a chance of competing in the division.... until the Panthers chicken out of a 4th & 1 and let Roddy White catch a pass he should have no business catching. Still, this is Cam's best game so far.
  • And now Seattle... turns out they has a legit top 5 defense. And of course, Cam and crew look like chumps.

Major adjustments need to be made. I'd like to see a signature win for once. The Cowboys are not a great team... let's start with THEM! And if we manage to beat the Bears at their place, I will believe in Cam and this team again

You know what I find amazing? Everyone here wants to b!tch about McDermott and the defense, but at least they seem to be showing some improvement week to week. I see emotion when they are on the field. Yes, there is still way too much confusion and missed assignments, but they still look like they are headed in the right direction. And that is especially true with Luke at MLB.

On the other hand, the offense seems to be taking a step back. Put it all on Cam if it makes you feel better, but the vast majority of our offensive starters seem to be underperforming this year.

Give me a choice right now of keeping either McDermott or Chud and I'm picking McDermott.

Agreed. I wasn't really fond of the play call either, but the receiver was open.

And that wasn't the only short pass Cam missed Sunday. He missed several of them, mostly screens and outlets.

And to be fair, the receivers dropped some when he was on target so it wasn't all his fault. And then there were fumbles by the normally sure handed running backs. The offense was not mentally ready to play Sunday.

the point is that he can obviously run a pro offense because he has demonstrated he can. do you think he forgot how to or something?

edwards has 12 career rushing yards on two attempts and two career completions for 11 yards. he's also a hideous bust considering draft position and probably the out and out worst trade our general manager has ever made. stop posting.
