It's time for a change

It is a pretty sad state of affairs when the opposing teams fans say 'coaching lost this game for your team today'.

I'll share with each of u as ps.l holder for many years this was the absolute stupidest offensive play calling I have ever sen.

If there is no chance rivera goes then the psl holders will. These coaches do not take the players they have and help then win.

Those players today played their Hearts out and those coaches broke them.

For the very first time, I saw long standing psl holders, ones who sat through 1-15 leave the stadium.

Jerry if u r reading this..do something..take over ur team...,do it.

Geebus. I understand the frustration with the coaching staff, but give the guy a little longer than just 20 games before you start threatening a boycott.

You act like Rivera has been here 5 years and nothing has been done by the higher ups.

I'm telling everyone, people like me who have faithfully put out dollars well it's over.

For a premier game 8 of the psl owners I know who have never mised games were not there today and others left early.

It's sad...just sad.

IMO we have the absolute worst coaching staff in the nfl.

I am not waiting another three years and 12.5k for jr to figure out what everyone with a grain of sense can see.

is it safe to say that the panthers are losing fans? as in just done w/ this team...no more $ spent on them until major adjustments are made?

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that the Panthers are losing fans. I know that the only reason I still have any of my Panthers stuff is because I didn't want to spend money on other NFL team shirts. And I still like the design of my shirts because I have the old logo on my stuff. But I'm just plain apathetic toward this team. Even when they shockingly took the 14-13 lead, I knew they would lose. Just the same way that some teams (like the Giants) always find a way to win games, the Panthers always find a way to lose games. This franchise's culture is rapidly becoming very similar to the Browns. The only difference will be that the Panthers have no fans.

This coaching staff is horrible and that won't change with one game, twenty games or 1000 games.

You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
