Actually the book on how to beat Peyton is not to line up in your defensive look until just before the ball is snapped. Teams that have had success mill around and don't show the coverage until the ball is being snapped. You have to fool Peyton and give him multiple looks. Do that, control the clock and keep him off the field. That is how you beat Manning.

The Panthers at least organizationally know John Fox; John Fox no longer knows this Panthers. Rivera is also known to have good schemes to go up against Manning. Gantt however thinks Fox can field a team that can hang 50 on us just for spite. This isn't no John Gruden Bowl in my mind though..
