Uh oh. Pat Y might just have dropped a bombshell. Get ready for Beane as GM

if only what you argued wasn't poorly constructed

Can't be perfect all the time, i'll be the first to say my arguments haven't been perfect, but I do find it a good bit more thought provoking then the thousands of "(insert name here) sucks!" posts that this forum has been inundated with for basically the entire season since the Giants game.

nobody got thinking because you posted about keeping rivera. the only reason people are talking is because we're in the midst of our annual late period sweeps campaign under no pressure to make the playoffs so as much people as possible keep their jobs and restore fan confidence part of the season. Same old poo, different year.

No I'm pretty sure it's had some effect, normally a team still 1 win less then last season doesn't exactly drive fans to think the Coach should return. and it's been a topic for discussion every week out side of the KC game since I posted it. Again the whole thought was to get people to think outside the box, and back up thier point of view with a argument. most of the replies I was getting a month ago was "well because he sux" now people like you are actually starting use grounded arguments.

if you don't like the message don't shoot the messenger, argue with him. It is the purpose of a forum after all to express differing points of view.

There is no way in hell that I believe Ernie Accorsi would recommend a logistics guy who's worked the easy part of the job for a matter of weeks over people he's worked with who actually have handled the true aspects of the job for years.

And if the organization is stupid enough to to go against Accorsi in favor of a dumbass move like this, the fan exodus will be massive.

As a PSL holder, I know I've had enough. If Rivera is kept with a decent GM fine; but, if they bring in this kid who has never, ever done anything remotely like a full time GM would do.

Finito for me. I'll keep that $4500 a year in my pocket as the Panthers are fast approaching the Cleveland Browns with that move.

When will we all learn. It doesn't matter what Accorsi says. JR will do things the JR way until JR is no more. He is an autocratic, controlling, bottom-line business man and nothing more, nothing less. Why are we amazed or even remotely fazed by any of JRs actions. He has shown who he is.

Well an autocratic, controlling, bottom-line business man would not waste time and hire an outside source to look for a GM...a autocratic, controlling, bottom-line business man would make the choice himself no other input what so ever.

Thnx 4 playin

I really don't want to believe this and yet it seems so typical of what we have witnessed through the years.

Really thought JR had "seen the light" when he finally canned Marty.

No way does Accorsi select anyone within this poorly run organization if he is tasked with finding the best possible candidates for the position of Panther's GM.

Too many vastly more qualified/experienced individuals in the league than Beane ready to move up.

A decision like this will indicate this organization is completely out of touch with reality.

    • Well there goes the bullied victim spiel.
    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
