If the new GM keeps Ron Rivera...

Mr. Scot

...will you accept his judgment or would that automatically be 'strike one' against him?

I will put my strong doubts about Ron to the side and be fully supportive.

Frankly, I would not be a bit surprised if the new GM decides to keep Ron for another year. It would give him a year to get his feet wet and work on the roster and the cap while evaluating the rest of the staff.

If that happens, I just pray that some team thinks Chud is the wizard he thinks he is and takes him off our hands.

I could see the GM giving Ron and staff one more year. Maybe they wont like the crop of coaches that could be available example Andy Reid ect. After the next season if the group doesnt go playoffs then fire the coach andbring in a new group. Is the current interim GM in the running for full time GM? I figured we would try and get a name guy as GM.

I would accept because there is no can't miss prospects for coaches. I would consider Bruce Arians however as a better prospect than Rivera, but I don't know what he would do to our defense. If there was ever a time I could care less about switching over to a 3-4 defense, this ain't one of those times. We finally got two good DEs, and I want to maximize that for now.

I would be good if we just got a new OC.

    • Mr. 0-2 every year to start the season in his career. Last year was the first year he ever played a week 3 game.
    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
