here's a couple of cool cam newton stats for you going into the final matchup against moleface and the sloppy taints

Currently our handsome hunk o' quarterback sits at 3621 yards passing on the season. With only 154 yards passing against the cheating-ass dirty-ass douchebag-ass Raiders, his chances at eclipsing 4k for the second year and a row diminished a good bit. Of course it's a meaningless stat, but it's a good benchmark at least. Against the Taints, Cam will need 379 yards passing to hit 4,000 on the season.

Cam's TD:INT ratio is currently 19:11. Last year he finished with 21:17. Barring unparalleled disaster against the Taints, Cam, needing only two more touchdowns to tie last year's total, will likely finish at 21:11 or 21:12, a significant improvement from last year. His touchdowns have gone up and his interceptions have gone down, and he'll likely finish with 10-20 less pass attempts than last year, which only makes it more impressive. Cam needs 2 passing touchdowns to tie last season's mark, and 3 to break it.

Last season Cam ran for 706 yards and 14 scores, and NFL record. He's only got eight rushing touchdowns on the season thus far, but as of yesterday he's run for 707 yards, beating last year's mark by one yard. If he can put up 87 yards against the Taints he'll end this season with a two-year total of 1,500 yards rushing. At this pace he's two years removed from entering 10th place on the NFL's all-time rushing QB recordbook.

Cam is currently 198 on the all-time passing leaders list. With a 350 yard game against the Taints, Cam can move to 195 all-time on the passing list, surpassing Steve Walsh.

The Taints have the 32nd-ranked overall offense. Cam and the offense have been on fire in recent weeks, and the defense has played lights-out. We may be in for a fun Sunday.

I hope Cam throws 11 touchdowns and rushes for 12 more.

The Saints wanted to break records on us last season? Fug it, let's break the fuging Saints.

yeah i want to see us poo down their throats for four quarters. i want to see drew brees laying in multiple pieces on the field. i want chudz to call deep playaction bombs when we're up by thirty in the 4th quarter and i want us faking punts for first downs and converting 4th-and-1s on our own forty. i want rivera to go moon the entire taints bench with his gatorade-covered hairy latino ass after it's over.

this is our last game dammit and it had better be golden

This game could be a turning point for this franchise. There may be more at stake than a couple of stats for Cam (which are very cool)...but this game could determine the direction this franchise takes for the next few years...it could decide Rivera's fate...which in turn could lead to the new GM making some coaching splash to replace him....

Other than the deep playoff runs has there ever been a more interesting game for this team?

    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
    • Because playoff hockey and regular season hockey aren’t the same thing.  It’s a combination of the game intensity being dialed up with loose officiating.
