i can't put my finger on it...but for whatever reason, this thread gives me a strong sense of deja vu.

That's because I started the same thread about a month ago and got my rear chewed out for bringing it up. "TONY DUNGY WILL NEVER COACH AGAIN" was what I heard.... along with a lot of "But if he did it would be a great move"

Because he will never coach football again, anyone that's paid an ounce of attention since he retired would know this.

how many more times does the man have to say he won't ever coach again before people will believe he's not going to coach again?

People change their minds all the time. There was an article written a few weeks ago about the Panthers Cam and Luke being enough to lure Bill Parcells out of retirement. Another man who said he was done.

Key is message boards and fan sites are places for people to throw out ideas. This idea is actually better than most. Him/me asking a question that isn't exactly out of the realm of possibility, which lets be honest it isn't, always cracks me up the reaction of people eager to remind people how dumb their ideas are. Especially on this site.

okay, so ignore the fact that dungy has adamantly stated on numerous occassions that he is done with coaching, and i'll present my answer with a different approach...

is cam newton and like kuechly enough to lure someone who has already coached probably the greatest player in the history of the game to carolina?

no.

and if that's not enough, name something that dungy hasn't accomplished that would entice him to come back and try to achieve.

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
