Who is Jim Harbaugh?

man you guys are killing FP for no real reason. he's not saying harbaugh's a bad coach, he's saying the roster's been so well stocked with talent that it makes up for any deficiencies that might otherwise be exposed on a roster of, say, carolina panthers caliber.

still a better coach than ron rivera, and i don't think we'd be 7-9 if harbaugh was here.

He said Harbaugh is gonna get fired in two years. That's the very definition of bad after making it this far in the playoffs in your second year.

And it wasn't just a "hey guys I just think that such in such". It was "IT'S GONNA FÜCKING HAPPEN AND WHEN IT DOES I'M GONNA BUMP EVERY FÜCKING THREAD ARGLBLGARBL!!!"

So it's for good reason.

People here seem to think we have 6 Pro Bowlers on defense and Rivera is simply mismanaging them into the ground.

Has it been two years yet?

Firey you're a moron, seriously. You said in two years he'd be fired and you were serious...and you still defend that? Good fuging lord man. Harbaugh had the balls and not the blind loyalty to his QB to switch unexpedely to a fuging nobody. That is one hell of a decision to make and he was dead right about it, going straight to the super bowl. There is a pure coaching decision. Not that he couldn't almost make it even with Alex Smith. Harbaugh is a great coach and it sucks we couldn't have him and even more embarrising our stupid owner makes comments the way he does, then goes on to fug us and you sit here and make excuses for everything. I love how you just talk about how the Faclons lost it but it was a very close game. You have no argument and make no sense.

Obviously even a super bowl won't convince you so what does it even matter? lmao

how many probowlers did they have before he got there?

when was their last NFCCG prior to him getting there?

how about their last playoff win? or their last playoff appearance? or their last winning season?

how long did it take for them to find success after he got there?

maybe all they needed to do was figure out that the major thing holding them back was the former '85 superbowl bears Lb they made the mistake of hiring as HC and they just needed someone who had a clue.

My opinion. Probably will be wrong. We'll see. But I take such a hard stance on Harbugh mostly because I absolutely cannot stand the people who worship him on this board when there's no goddamn reason to imagine he would have done any better here than anywhere else. And worse, they go on anti JR tangents as if he's somehow to blame for Harbaugh deciding he wanted to go to San Fransisco and that was it.

So, yeah, I might be overreacting, but frankly, I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate HATE the asshats that bloviate on his achievements on this board.

    • You argued today the Saints backfield is better than the Panthers.  I think I’m good and don’t need any more new debates for today
    • I'd disagree about the LAR game being stellar. He made a couple of key 4th down throws for touchdown, good throws and I give him credit for those, and a throw to Coker to seal the game but I wouldn't consider that a stellar game. The screen pass to Chubba was a standard screen pass. We had to have 2 4th down risky calls because the rest of the offense wasn't working. We were not moving the ball at will. Without a pick in the end zone and one returned for a TD, that 10 -14 point swing, we don't win that game. Bryce did not own that game. He had 3 great throws in that game, but that was really it. He did not dominate that game, at least from my point of view. 9 times out of 10, we don't win that game. Without those 3 takeaways, we don't win that game.  The Dallas game, he had 200 yards passing and 3/1, but again, I wouldn't consider that stellar. What Rico did was stellar. I would consider what Bryce did a good game for a starting NFL QB. That's what those stat lines reflect and what he did in game. Did he make some big throws. Yes. But again. He didn't own that game. Rico owned that game. Maybe that's a stellar game for Bryce. I consider it a good game for a franchise QB. I expect 8 of those performances a year.  Atlanta 2.0 was a stellar game. He did get a lot of help from his receivers with YAC but he was throwing it everywhere and he owned the field. That game he looked like a franchise QB.  It's all in how you look at it I guess. The bar has been so low that a good game for a starting NFL QB can be considered stellar for Bryce. I want and expect more from a starting NFL QB, especially one that's going to be coming off his rookie contract and won't be able to have all the resources spent to surround him just to have this level of performance. If Bryce was a 5th round QB and not a 1st we wouldn't be having this discussion and therein lies the real issue I think. We're so heavily invested it's distorted our perception. If Bryce was playing for any other team we line up against on Sunday we'd be salivating.
