Awesomeness!!

A guy that almost goes underfeated and wins the Super Bowl in his first year of coaching? A guy that outcoached Belicheat in the AFC title game? Nobody? Andy Reid was a better option? lolok

Don't you already have King Obama? Are you not happy enough as it is? You want to argue with everything based off of race? This poo is beyond old.

Are you not happy enough that your civil liberties are being stripped?

Not happy that He wants to take your guns?

If you voted for him, then you're getting (and the rest of us) are getting exactly what you wanted. CHANGE

But but but, no black HC's in the NFL were hired this offseason?!?

You had better wake up and start reading the news... And yes, I said reading the news... Because watching the news is no longer about news...

This country is going to poo because people like you are more concerned with the NFL than you are about our Country and what it's very quickly becoming!

Im not upset Caldwell didnt get a job. He didnt get an interview. Complete trash coaches got interviews..

Our new GM has been in the business for 26 years and has been an instrumental part of multiple championship teams, and yet before this year he never even got a sniff of a GM job. His resume is flawless. Sometimes the fit or opportunity just isn't there yet.

Talent wise Andy Reid had the best team in the league 2 years in a row. He went 12-20, even worse than Rivera. What has Philly done since Jim Johnson passed? Ok then...

He had the shittiest Oline last year that I have ever seen because of injuries to 4 out 5 starting olineman. Both tackles, center and a gaurd. Andy Reid is a phenomenal coach.

If David Shaw left Stanford, I'm sure he would have gotten a job. In fact, if that happened and I was Jerry, I would have let Rivera go and went hard after Shaw. With all that said, I'm tired of hearing about this issue. The Rooney Rule requires that one minority HC prospect must be interviewed, but usually we always take it to mean a black man. Then when no minority HC prospects get hired, what we really mean is no black HC was hired. Why is it the black ethnicity is always at the forefront of these things? I don't hear no one arguing for asian HCs or hispanic HC prospects. I'm just tired of hearing that black people are always held back in this regard. I also hate using the terms majority and minority.

I wonder what would happen if no one speaks on this issue. I wonder what would happen if we get rid of the Rooney Rule. Would we see an all-white coaching staff and personel? If we do, then you know it's a race problem. (Again I want to point out there is only one race. Unless you know, some of you married aliens)

You see at one time there was a problem with outright discrimination, and people had to be forced to change. Now we are living in a day where that is looked down upon, and opportunity is available to everyone. The problem now is how do you get a hold of that opportunity? I would like to see what people with my skin tone do, without having the ethinicity based rules installed. After a while it does something to the mind having to hear these things over and over again. I'm much more interested in the things that bring us together, not the things that seperates us.

The NFL needs more white running backs and Asian safeties. Maybe instead of hiring players and staff based on merit they should just fill certain positions with the best of a certain race.

In European soccer leagues they often allocate a team to have a certain number of European players, then a certain number of players from anywhere else in the world. They also have a mandatory number of Germans or Spanish, whatever the home country may be (race not considered, just nationality).

What if the NFL created a policy where a certain number of coaches, players, etc had to be white, black, asian, etc.

This is basically what blacks are asking for, only they only want it applied for their race and want to tell everyone else to screw off. That way if a lot of players are black, it's great for them and in other areas where there are a shortage of blacks, they'll never have to compete or worry because there will be mandates.

The NFL should stop using african americans for labor then. Get rid of AP, get rid of Cam, get rid of all the wideouts and fast corners. Get rid of Aldon Smith, get rid of Megatron. Lets just rely on the white athletes. Make the field look like the front office, virtually all white, with a few minorities here and there every few years. Replace all of them and lets see how popular this game is. I'm sure it'll lead off Sportscenter every night just like NASCAR and Hockey do, 2 sports that have very few blacks involved. Im sure the sport will be raking in the dough just like those 2 and wont have to worry about franchises losing money left and right. I'm sure the game will be a global phenomenon only showcasing white folks. If its so important to keep front offices only white and or its not a big deal or abnormal, why is it so important to rely on african american athletes? What you're proposing is to use blacks for labor, but shut them out of other opportunities in the game. Thats why it say its a "plantation" mentality. If the sport wasnt 75-80% black, you might have an argument.

Of course he is a terrible coach and that is why impeccable coaches like Dungy and Harbaugh have wanted him on their staff. Those guys always fill their staff with terrible coaches.

fuging morons

Dungy & Harbough hired him because he sucks. "The Great Hype" Peyton Manning who gets bounced out the first round every year carried him. Ironic that Caldwell's offense outproduced both the Colts and Manning's Broncos to get the big dance.

You mean the guy that rode Dungy's and Manning's coat tails to a SB appearance and then crashed and burned?

That would be the way to look at it if you are going out of your way to denigrate the guy. Or you coud say the guy Dungy brought aboard to help him win a Super Bowl and the guy John Harbaugh hired to help bring him to one. He is obviously valued as a staff member of two of the top coaches in recent history.

    • Yeah, if you tune in for any of the remainder of the season you will get what you're asking for. Nobody but yourself to blame. This is a sports franchise of losers, for losers.
    • Here is my take, go ahead and roast me, I'm ok with it, I know where I am. I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. I will wait until week 4 or 5 before I entertain that option. This game I blame on the coaching staff. Their failure to give reps to the first team during the preseason was reflected in this game. Lets just call this what it is... our preseason warm up game. You could see that the whole team was flat in the first half. Every aspect of the game, the basic fundamentals. Mental errors, missed tackles, timing on routes, they were not ready for this game. Jacksonville is not a great team but you could clearly see their energy level surpassed ours. I do have to give credit to our defense. They did hang in there and kept competing through 4 quarters (minus the 71 yard run). The way our offense played it's a wonder Jacksonville didn't put 40 on us. Positives I saw, (I know, I know), but come on, we still have 16 games. TMAC IS that guy!! Chuba looked good, and overall, our O-line looked good. As bad as Bryce looked at times I do feel like we're a step or two away from connecting with our WR corps. There were plays to be made that were JUST off by a step or two (again, I know). We have talent at WR, we have talent on offense. To me, this game just looked like a team that was not mentally prepared for NFL week one, and less, "oh my god, we're the same old Panthers". Now I get it... a lot of this hinges on Bryce Young and his confidence. If he can erase this and focus on building continuity with these receivers I honestly think we're not going to suck as bad as we did today. XL... IDK, the jury with him is still out, but there is no doubt the kid has mega potential. Our defense, honestly, considering we have a bunch of new guys on that side, they held their own considering the offense could never change the momentum of the game. I am as disappointed as everyone else at another week one poor performance. But I also realize we are STILL rebuilding. Lets just take it week by week right now and see if we have ANY talent that rises to the surface. Because I really do not know what we have talent wise. And that is not just limited to the QB. So, we will see, but I'm not going to call it just yet... just my take. Now fire away! lol
    • Well for one, what other realistic choice is there? Barring a season ending injury, Bryce is the guy for this year. Next year all options are open, but there aren't any other real world solutions for the 2025 season.
