Luke is my hero and I love DJ Campbell.

Thought Naka was going to be special...

Most memorable moment is a tie between Thomas Davis being a force once again and seeing Luke play his guts out all year long. Both of them out there was such a wow factor for me...really proud of our guys.

For me it boils down to these two games... week 2 and week 3 of this yr. We come home and win a great game after a loss to tampa and then on primtime we get throttled. My expectations for this season were through the roof, but that was tempered and with good reason. We had so much to learn about ourselves and getting rid of Marty might have been the key factor in turning this ship around. I love Gmagic and Rivera has the support of the team. Let this team gel and come out next year with a sense of purpose and togetherness that will infect the fan base and take over the league. I think we will.

-What's your favorite win: Our last game against New Orleans

-Describe your mood about the team with keywords: Disappointed/Pissed

-Rate it out of 10: 3

-Favorite/Least Favorite acquisition: Olsen/Naanee

-Worst Loss: Giants on National TV

-Favorite draft pick: Cam

-Most memorable moment: The Arizona game in 2011. We knew we had finally found our QB.

-Will 2013 be Rivera's last season? Yes

Approve or Disapprove of our current direction? There is much to like about our roster and it's ability going forward. However, our team is going to be held back by a very inexperienced coaching staff, lead by a HC that I don't believe in. Further, I don't believe JR is the same man after his illness, and he is not making the right moves as an owner.

I want to hear your honest non-fanboy opinions on the Rivera-Cam era so far.

Things to possibly answer:

-What's your favorite win

First Saint game this year when I still had hope.

-Describe your mood about the team with keywords

I'll assume by team you mean the entire panther organization.

Repetitive failure (tired), familiar failures (worn out), devastating (seemingly hopeless with this coach and owner), oblivious (more towards our team's FO), potential (why I am so upset over all this BS), young, disorganized, leadership pretty non-existent (still building), SLOW, falling behind

ok positives in there only potential....hmmm maybe....nope can't think of much...potential of a better future is really all we have.

-Rate it out of 10

Rate the team out of ten?

Players: 7

Coaching and FO: 3

But they rely on one another...

-Favorite/Least Favorite acquisition

Olsen, worst = Naka

-Worst Loss

First Falcon game this year, I fuging hate the falcons fug the falcons

-Favorite draft pick

Cam

-Most memorable moment

Best: Cam to smitty pass over the left shoulder in the corner of the end zone...I was a believer after that. Not many positive memorable moments. Jacksonville last year was awesome.

Worst: Rivera's dumbass onside kick this year

-Will 2013 be Rivera's last season?

I really hope so.

...I think you get the picture

and the big one: Approve or Disapprove of our current direction?

DISAPPROVE.

-What's your favorite win (hard to pick just one from all those moral victories)

-Describe your mood about the team with keywords (fire Ron Rivera)

-Rate it out of 10 (13/32)

-Favorite/Least Favorite acquisition (Olsen/Rivera)

-Worst Loss (between the Chiefs last season and the Vikings in '11. Maybe give the edge to the Chiefs game since we probably would've beaten the Vikings if our kicker wasn't retarded)

-Favorite draft pick (are you kidding me?)

-Most memorable moment (any of the 10,000 instances the camera panned over to the sideline and captured Ron with that signature glazed over look in his eyes; or when we fired Hurney for being retarded)

-Will 2013 be Rivera's last season? (Wish 2012 was his last season)

Approve or Disapprove of our current direction? Well it takes being competent in three positions to be able to compete in this league. Good GM, good coach, good QB. So far we've got 2/3, hopefully 3/3 when we replace Ron next season.

What do I think about the Rivera and Cam regime. I think both of them have learned a lot over the two years and have each made a ton of mistakes. But I am optimistic that now have the proper skills sets to win. Cam knows what he needs to do to win and how he needs to be a leader on the team. Rivera knows that playing not to lose ensures you will. I know that 6-10 and 7-9 are nothing to get excited about but they are 4 more wins than Fox had in his last 2 years and he was coming off a 12-4 season in 2008. Rivera on the other hand inherited a 2-14 team that every agreed was largely devoid of any real talent.

We have more talent on the team than when Rivera inherited it after Richardson gutted it. We have a coaching staff that is actually pretty solid and we have a new GM who is by all accounts a great judge of talent and has a solid reputation.

The Rivera era has been a transition between the worse team in the NFl by far to one that can contend in any game and is a tough out. But for 5 or 6 plays in 2012, we could have easily made the playoffs.

As for those who don't believe in Rivera, all I will say is that I am glad you are fans and not players. Ultimately it matters if they believe in the coach where as for fans it really doesn't matter.

No I didn't copy and paste all the suggested responses since most things were covered already and I wanted to talk about other things.

I think Rivera/the Panthers are the worst thing that could have happened to Cam. Imagine if he was on a real team, like Kaepernick is.

I remember when Cam came out everyone said that he would need 2 or 3 years to be ready to play. Rivera and Chud tailored their offense to meet his skills and without an off-season he had an unprecedented year.

If he had played for San Francisco he would have sat the bench of 22 of his 32 games and really made the Superbowl based on the rest of the team who came within a play of making it last year. He would be further behind than he is right now. Kapernick may be in the Superbowl but I don't think he is as complete a quarterback as Newton.

    • Not sure I completely agree but it's a pretty accurate list
    • If Reich or Fitterer were still around I think the need to extend Young because of what he cost would be stronger.  And yeah Morgan was Fit's right hand when the call was made but there an equal chance that Dan will see it as a chance to move on from Fit and shake off that stink. Holding out some hope that 3 years and clear eyes will allow for an honest appraisal that Young just aint the guy
    • As far as elite/elevate talent QB’s It’s Allen Mahomes Jackson and Burrow that’s it.  Then we have tiers and those can be debated all day Dak is a good QB but I know this board would want him out of Charlotte if he was the QB here. 2 playoff wins in 10 years. Justin Herbert no playoff wins. Threw 4 interceptions in last years playoff game. 23 TD passes last year. 20 the year below and 25 the year before that. This board loves stats without context and these stats aren’t saying they’re much above complimentary  Kyler Murray isn’t good. I’m not sure how he made this list.  Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence both benefiting from some real good offensive coaches right now. They’re both complimentary pieces until proven otherwise  I like Jordan Love. Always have. I wanted to draft him but he isn’t a superstar.  CJ Stroud hasn’t been much better than Bryce after his rookie season. After that Bears game year 2 his numbers very similar to Bryce I will say I think Drake Maye is well on his way to becoming the next top tier QB if I had to pick one from this entire list. I’d also say Baker Mayfield is a damn good QB and I’d take him over most of those guys not in the elite category  Now if you want to debate tools and which QB’s possess tools to put them in higher tiers that’s a completely different discussion. Most QB’s on your main list all have those physical tools that will keep you thinking he’ll become the next top tier QB. They’ll sprinkle in a “wow” play or two a game. Bryce will never look that way. Young’s game at its peak will physically always look different and I think that’s where most people struggle when it comes to seeing how Young’s can be successful in the league  All QB’s need a team around them. I think the Bills are failing Josh Allen much like the Panthers did Cam. Beane and McDermott using same blueprint with Bills team. Josh Allen hasn’t had much in terms of WR’s and it’s ultimately costing them when it matters the most
