The Power Outage

Mr. Scot

Single weirdest thing I've seen at a Super Bowl in years, maybe ever.

The Superdome blamed the power company.

The power company blamed the Superdome.

Pretty good chance somebody is out of work tomorrow. Also safe to say the nect time New Orleans bids on a Super Bowl, this incident will be brought up,

Does it really matter who is to blame? It was a 20 minute delay. Who the fug cares?

Almost twice that actually. About 35 minutes total.

Were I on the selection committee, this incident would be a huge red flag to me.

I'd have a lot of questions for the city if they were asking to host another one (which they no doubt will do).

Ron Rivera was caught sitting in the rafters holding the severed plugs, which he had sliced with a mere death glance, all the while chuckling to himself repeatedly...... "Win a superbowl? Not on my watch!" -Adam schectar ESPN source.

Makes me wonder if the WWE writes for the NFL now.

I actually made the joke to the people I was watching it with that I expected Sting to appear in the top row of the bleachers then rappel down a zip wire to the 50 yard line and whack someone with a baseball bat.

They didn't get it :(

I do. Had the same thought

Funny. Less than a year ago I was watching when the track at Daytona caught fire. Now this

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
