Peppers says he will be at training camp

Maybe there is a reason team officials with the Carolina Panthers are confident defensive end Julius Peppers will show up to training camp on time. Peppers has been a no-show to all of the team's summer school workouts and he has yet to sign a one year tender with the team. But a recent text message he sent to a defensive teammate could give some answers about his willingness to play this year in Carolina. Play-by-play voice Mick Mixon was at a function not long ago and he shared that message to 99.9FM The Fan ESPN Radio. "My friend, one of the linebackers said 'hey look at this we got a text from Julius'," Mixon told The Insiders on Thursday. "The text said 'hey, out here in Arizona working out, I won't be early for camp but I won't be late, and I'll be ready to go. "Peppers' attitude about his readiness for training camp could come as a relief for Panthers fans and teammates. It was only months ago when the four-time pro-bowler created a list of other teams he wanted to play for. The Panthers will hold one more week of summer school workouts next week, then break until training camp comes August 2 in Spartanburg, SC.

umm if I remember correctly he hasn't shown up for these early camps in the past.....I just like how people stress over it this year.

This will work its way out one of or another, it has almost become useless to talk about now

    • Yeah, The Ravens' offense was stalling out while the Lions' offense was humming. The Henry fumble sealed their fate but I didn't like their chances regardless.  But either way, Derrick Henry 4th quarter fumbles have cost them one game and cost them and an opportunity in another. That Bills game was over until his fumble gave them new life and his fumble last night made their chances go from "not good but maybe" to "we need a miracle".
    • Who in this post is hugging his nuts?
    • I don't think we have been good yet. We were generally effective yesterday when we got scoring opportunities but struggled to move the ball under a heavy blitz and new receivers who he is still trying to develop better chemistry with and a makeshift line. And last week the comeback was impressive until it fizzled out. But week one we were bad and we have way too many penalties and picks and the occasional WTF play. We were better yesterday and the offense had no turnovers although special teams did. We are a work in progress as any panther fan would expect. I think we have the most rookies on our roster compared to any other team. No one thinks we are all that amazing or thar Bryce is the answer for sure. But we aren't the worse either and this constant negative narrative really is ridiculous and drowns out everyone else. I doubt I will be here much especially if we lose. The conversation is so negative and constant I don't even check in until Wednesday. But I will be here like always since 2004. Just not engaging in conversations with folks who just want to bitch and complain over and over with anything they can find as if that makes things better or they are saying something we all don't feel at times. Most of us realize this is year 2 of a rebuild and there are ups and downs. You have to be comfortable on the roller coaster. But anytime you point out the good you get inundated with negative crap as if we didn't see it too......
