Notre Dame safety Zeke Motta visited Panthers, Falcons

Every Domer player looked like ass against Alabama. Most other teams' players would, too.

How many missed tackles and bad angles did he take in that game? That has nothing to do with Bama. Most of the time he didn't even get touched by a Linemen. Usually they allowed him free run at the RB. He either picked the wrong hole or got juked out or ran over. Lets not even talk about how many times he got burnt form a team that didn't pass the ball a lot.

True 40 time doesn't mean everything, but Teo ran about the same 40 at MLB(the "slowest" linebacker position" and was considered pathetically slow. This guy is playing safety, which requires even more speed, and is just as slow. Hell no to overrated Notre Dame players.

I'm just not sure why we're looking at so many of these old school, hard hitting safeties. The NFL has virtually outlawed this style of play. That type of player has essentially been made irrelevant. You gotta be able to run and cover first, hit second as a safety in today's NFL.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
