Did you hear anything from the team on the other early - mid first round WR in Patterson? I've still got him listed high on the Panther's board, but I think he's in a distant third or 4th place on it.

If somehow Vaccaro and Austin are not there, it would most likely be between Patterson and the best CB on the board.

The bad part being that he sucks/overrated and there are several Safties further down the board that are better.

That is just not true at all, Vaccaro is so far ahead of Elam, Cyprien, and Reid it is not even funny.

the good thing about taking Vaccaro is that safeties don't cost as much too re-sign....we got bills to pay with

Cam and Keeks.

You can even think about that fact that if we take Austin are they gonna break the bank for a slot receiver down the road. But im sure nobody has considered that.

I seen several Tex games this year. Dude gives up a lot of big plays. He isn't a sure tackler. Id take all those guys before him. Vacarro is the only pick we could make, that would royally piss me off.

Vaccaro is an incredible tackler and play maker, I am not sure you watched enough games. He reminds me of a Charles Woodson or Morgan Burnett.

I'm really interested in Patterson, big bust potential but also seems to have incredible upside... could develop into Julio Jones 2.0 with more speed.

Patterson definitely has a high ceiling and if he reaches that potential you have no problem backing up the bank truck to his house when his contract is up. He is raw but all these guys need coaching coming into the league and we dont need him to be dominant from day 1 since we still have smitty and Olsen. But him or Austin would be upgrades to the offense, its always been up in the air between both of them to me.

    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
    • Best part is if we draft him, we can also use him as our fourth and one QB sneaker
