I'd still take Hopkins but I love that pick. Him at 14 and Hopkins at 44. Can you say elite offense?

I'm not trying to be downer here. But like I said. Why would Gettleman waste a 1st on him when we have Olsen as starter. Wouldn't make sense to draft another TE when we have other holes to fill. DT,OG,WR,S, and CB. Just don't see it happening. Yes it is nice to dream. But in reality it want happen on that day.

I can see Gettleman drafting TE if the Kellen Winslow news have died.

Two te sets are very hard to beat. Dt class is deep and gettleman knows that so unless star falls to 14 I don't see a dt as our first pick. Oline class is deep as well so I can see those positions being added to in FA or later rounds. Gettleman has already stated he believes the team is good enough to draft bpa. With the talent being so close from 14-45 it's easy to see we could take him at 14 if gettleman feels he will help the team the best.

So wait you expect that Gettlemen would waste a 1st round pick on a 1st round talented TE just to play behind Greg Olsen most of the game unless they do a 2 TE set. Don't see it happening. Again we have other pressing needs at WR , OG, DT, and other postitions to worry about getting another TE. We already have a few TEs behind Olsen already. Hartsock is one of them. I would be freaking amazed if Gettleman pulled the trigger on a TE at 14th. But it would not happen.

Not really. Gettlemen is going to use the 1st pick on a player who will start every game. Not play backup to another player. 1st round picks are for getting someone that will come in and start right way. Which we need right now. Unless Ron decides to play 2TE sets 90% of the time every game. I don't see a reason to waste a 1st round pick on a starting type player who will just play a back up role. Waste of a pick and a waste of time. But again I think the odds of that happening is super low. If he drafts a TE then I will come back on here Thursday evening and eat my words. Until then I don't see it happening.

      Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game

      I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
