I like a lot of what the Vikings did, but that Patterson pick isn't something I can get on board with. A 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th for a guy that raw and immature? No thanks. The Jets' draft also stuck out to me in a bad way.

I liked the 9ers', Ravens', Eagles', Dolphins', Rams' and Packers' drafts.

The Rams really improved their roster to me.

Pick Player

1.8 Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia

1.30 Alec Ogletree, ILB, Georgia

3.9 T.J. McDonald, FS, USC

3.30 Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia

4.16 Barrett Jones, OG, Alabama

5.16 Brandon McGee, CB, Miami

5.27 Zac Stacy, RB, Vanderbilt

TJ McDonald is a bit of a reach but getting Tavon and Bailey really improves the WR core for Bradford. Adding the versitile Jones and super lber Ogletree knocks it out the park to me.

This was a team really deprived of a lot of talent and with one draft really improved dramatically. I would guess that they will reap the full rewards next season but Bailey is a very polished WR with Austin doing what he will do.

They will be more fun to watch at least.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
