While I would love the added coverage and insight, I don't want the team to have to deal with that type of distraction and I'd prefer to keep some of the dirty laundry in house.

I can see your point.

I think it would go a long way in helping solidify local support though. I find myself pulling for teams that were on the show like the Dolphins last year because I felt like I knew the players.

I agree with that completely and as a fan of the team I would kill for that kind of inside look. No only the players, but the small procedural stuff that goes on at every level with every department.

However, I could easily see it being a distraction, especially with such a young team that is faced with a lot of uncertainty right now. If Rivera wasn't likely in a one year deal, with a new GM then I'd be more comfortable with it.

I think from a pure interest/entertainment point of view we'd be an awesome team to watch. We have so many great personalities on our team and our guys aren't really troublemakers. I think it would go a long way in showing not just hardcore fans but casual NFL fans that the Panthers are a really interesting team and easy to cheer for. We also are obviously going to have a lot of competition in camp so there'll be plenty of story lines to follow. Plus our guys are living in college dorms, not some fancy hotel, and they all go to a huge wal-mart to buy toys and halloween costumes.

It would be fun to watch as a fan, but I still don't care to be on it for the potential negatives.

We have some story lines they could potentially run with (Smitty and Cam in general, Beason trying to coming back/Luke taking his spot, Rivera on the hot seat?, Potential DL breakout, Superbowl guarantee from last year, etc.), but I don't think JR would ever be down with it.

Hard Knocks is really a well done show, more like a documentary than a corny reality tv show.

i exaggerated with the jersey shore thing a little bit, but still begs the question why don't teams want to do it?

I think this will be a break out year for everyone.

No thanks. Would rather see the Panthers gain notoriety by destroying the Patriots on MNF this year than be a part of some reality show.

And I don't get HBO, so...

same boat right here. i would like to know what's going on, but more than that i don't want the team to be distracted by cameras following them around.
