Kenjon Barner, Carolina Panthers

Barner posted a superb 10.4 GBYPA in a five-game sample against the toughest rush defenses Oregon faced in the 2011 season. He followed that up with a 2012 campaign in which he ranked third in YPC among BCS conference running backs with 200 or more carries. Barner also racked up 21 rushing touchdowns last season, so he very well could vulture some of the seven rushing scores fullback Mike Tolbert scored for the Panthers last year. There are few late-round running backs who will offer more upside in a fantasy draft.

j Stews sprained ankle is not ankle problems..kind of the work hazard injury category. He has toe and foot problems which I think he is mostly past.

D will has missed more games

I can't see DWill getting cut this year. We're not in any cap trouble right now, he'll stay around until the 2014 season.

I think it is. When comparing D-Will's career to J-Stew's, it's clear that J-Stew has been more durable,

 

uhh not when it matters.. we finally have a perinnial-playoff caliber team now and if hes been getting hurt lately you can hardly call him durable. Even so, DWill > Stew as a complete RB.

Why would he take Tolbert's touchdowns? Will he suddenly morph into a 240 lb. back near the goal line, because that's where Tolbert's scores came from.

I am not sure either would have been had they been feature backs, but DW seems to get more snaps.

I wondered that too. Maybe he is referring to the all-purpose yardage. I think Barner will catch a lot of passes.

Outside of the mysterious IR because of a strained "arch" in 2010, a complete waste of a season. Dwill has only missed three games in his entire career because of injury.

Ditch both of them, get a real fullback and rely on Tolbert and Barner.
